Thanks kydfx for the prompt reply on the NX 200t FWD. After visiting the dealer here in SoCal, I am now considering leasing this vehicle on a 45 month term, at 10000 miles a year (instead of 36 months). Any thoughts?

Extending your lease term may decrease your monthly payment, but then you have to consider additional wear items and maintenance costs (tires? brakes?) that may need attention before the end of the lease.

NorCal Bay Area, here's what we got on a NX200t Base FWD w/ NAV and Luxury packages:
36mo/15K/57%
Adj Cap Cost: $39550
We put down $2K, plus another $2375 in form of 5 Security Deposits which lowered MF to .0004
Total Monthly Pmt incl Tax: $484

Probably not a "great" deal, but definitely one we thought was fair...even though we weren't shopping solely based on monthly payment, we were penciling in $500-$550/mo for whatever vehicle we ended up buying, so all things considered we're happy.

48 month terms usually mean that you'll be responsible for wear items - brakes, tires - before the lease is up.

If your intention is to keep the car a long time, better to just buy it outright.

I am looking into a lease for a 2017 NX 200T F Sport in Chicago.

According to True Car the market value is $43,562 (dealer quoted a 'dealer price' of $43,686).

A few questions;
1. Given we're end of month and getting close to the 2018s, what is a better target price? (TrueCar says market value is similar to the quote the dealer provided but other market info says sales this week as low as $34k)
2. What is the residual/MF for the Chicago market on a 36 month/10k lease?
3. I know it's hard to predict, but the sales associate seemed pretty adamant that may terms would be better with lexus. Any insight as to why?

3) No idea. But, residuals won't change. Those are fixed for the 2nd quarter.

The answer varies, depending on the tax rules of your state.

But, generally, pay non-taxable items upfront, and roll everything else into the lease.
In most states, acquisition fee and doc fee are taxable.

For the Lexus regional lease deal it says " $409/36 month lease with 10k per month". It mentions 0 due at signing and "Excludes official fees, taxes and dealer charges." For this particular offer is the lease aquistion fee paid seprately or did they roll it into the lease? Also will the first month lease payment be covered? What exactly is the official fees?

The acquisition fee is part of the "official fees, etc.".

From the wording on that, I'd say the first payment is taken care of. But, best to confirm with a dealer (or two).

What state is this?

Ask the dealer to provide you with the adjusted cap cost, and how they got there from the AN selling price.
