I hope people know that the .00200 MF is with a preferred credit score. Otherwise you would probably be looking at .00245. Not too much of a difference but still noticeable!

Very interested in the CR-V as it offers most room and best gas mileage of everything I am looking at; however, I can't get past the .00200 MF. Actually, all dealers are quoting .00210 in the Orlando, FL area and insisting that is the MF, not .00200, and will not budge. Between the high MF, hard line prices and their ridiculous non-negotiable $699 dealer fee and you are really taking a bath on the CR-V.

Other things I can't get past is that a CR-V EX would suit my needs; however, it doesn't have satellite radio and I can't get past the stupid idiot light for the TPMS. I like seeing the individual tire pressure. Moving to a CR-V EX-L only adds insult to injury.

We aren't 100% certain what the standard MF is - we've seen documents that show .00200, but it may have changed to .00210 without our knowing.

And, given how popular the CR-V is, I can't say I'm surprised by the MF that Honda has set. Strike while the iron is hot.

I don't have them for leases, but for a purchase, you qualify for the best APR if your score is 660 or higher.

New to leasing. Apologize in advance for rookie questions. Want to lease a 2017 Honda CR-V EX-L 2WD in Los Angeles. Have a purchase price quote for $26,920. What would a good lease deal be for 36 months @ 15,000 miles/year (ideally, $0 to $500 down). What would the MF and residual be? . How do I then calculate what the lease terms would be? Any strategies on getting dealers to give me a good deal? Thank you!

    65% for 36/12

With those prices, I get a payment of $317/mo before tax for 15K, or $301/mo before tax for 12K

If the dealer ends up agreeing to that sale price, would you mind PMing me the dealership? No competition where I live so dealers are sticking to MSRP for the time being and LA is only two hours away. Thanks in advance.

No 18K allowance from Honda - likely to be a per mile deduction from the residual. Check with the dealer.

    .00210 and 63% (EX-L) 62% (EX-L NAV) or 60% (Touring)

I was under the impression that AZ taxes the monthly payment, so the tax amount is irrelevant.

And, I see no mention of the acquisition fee; this looks like a purchase quote.

Ask the dealer for the adjusted cap cost, and how they got to that number from the selling price.

    What lease term?

    .00200 MF, this month.

    Hello Friends,

i am a bit confused on this and hence posting here. went to a dealer for 2017 CRV EXL trim.

Here is what he gave me:
    MSRP = 31435
    SP=31235
    FEES: 351.78+80+595 = 1026.68
    rv: at .65 = 20433
    Gross Cap cost: 31910
    cash cap red: 2000
    net cap cost: 30805
    amount paid by customer 2000
MF: 0.0024 (SAYS INCLUDES TAX) i did not understand that part.
    _____

he gave me a number of 2000 down and 447.07
isnt this too high a cost for a lease? he is not offering any rebates or discounts at all. says its in high demand. wondering what i am doing wrong.

    Hi Michaell,
I am fairly new to leasing. Been following this discussion and would like to get some info on a lease I am pursuing for a 2017 CR-V EX-L without Nav in CONNECTICUT. Could you provide MF and RV for this state. I was offered the following but monthly cost seems too expensive to me:
    MSRP: $31,435
    Selling price: $30,635
Sales Tax in CT is 6.35%
Drive away: $1500 (taxes, fees and 1st month payment @ $399).
    No money down, no incentives
    36 months/12K miles

I would like to know what typical fees consist of for a lease with no money down and taxes paid upfront (curious how they got to $1500). Also, if this looks like a good offer. Again my experience is limited but I am learning a lot on these forums and am determined to get a good deal! Thanks for your advice and time!

    Vehicle Price: 28,878

    Miles per year: 12k

    Location: Los Angeles
    Tax: 8.75%

    Cash Down: 2K
    Monthly Payment: 375.66
    Residual: 19,587.75

I actually just found out that i qualify for a recent grad discount so this would knock another $500 off purchase price. Is this a good deal? Should I wait until honda comes out with a lease deal on the 2017 CRV?

Yeah.. tax has nothing to do with the money factor.
65% residual is correct. We've seen .00200 MF

With their numbers, $411/mo.+tax, which is probably close
    With .00200, $390/mo.+tax

It is a popular model. $200 discount and jacked up money factor makes for a bad deal.
If you are in CA, there should be a plethora of other dealers to choose from.

    .00200 MF and 65% residual for 36/12.
    Due at signing:
    $399 1st payment
    $595 acquisition fee
    $150 title/registration fees
    $350 dealer/conveyance fee (guessing..that's typical for CT)

With your other numbers, I get $385/mo.+tax, which is off just a few dollars.
$800 isn't much off, but it's $600 better than the member in the post above yours.

The residual is high for the CR-V (good), but the money factor is high (bad) and the discounts are small (bad). They are popular and not likely to lease well, any time soon.

    .00200 MF and 65% residual
The residual amount you were given is for 36/15, not 36/12.
    $18,807.75 for 36/12.

If I add the $595 acquisition fee to your selling price, I get a payment of $352/mo.+tax
That's about $13/mo. less than your quote. Maybe a $400-$500 dealer fee added in there, as well?

The new CR-V is not cheap to lease.

Mods, thanks for the help as always.

For a 2017 EX-L w/ Nav AWD, I'm interested in the MF and Residual for:

    36/10
    36/12
    39/10
    39/12

I believe that I read above tha the 36/12 is 65% and .00200 for the EX-L. Does the Nav knock it down to 64%?

    Thanks for your help.

    Vehicle Price: 28,878
    Lease duration: 36 mo
    Miles per year: 12k

    Location: Los Angeles
    Tax: 8.75%

    Cash Down: 2K
    Monthly Payment: 375.66
    Residual: 19,587.75

I actually just found out that i qualify for a recent grad discount so this would knock another $500 off purchase price. Is this a good deal? Should I wait until honda comes out with a lease deal on the 2017 CRV?

    What trim is this for?

.00200 is a pretty high MF. If you can wait, I'm sure the MF will come down. Just don't have any idea when that will be.

    .00200 and 65%.

With your given MSRP and selling price, I get $387/mo with tax included. Find out what the $2000 at signing covers - in detail. Likely some of it is going to cap reduction.

I have a lease quote for a CRV EX-L AWD and am wondering how the numbers add up. When I plug this into the Edmunds lease worksheet I keep coming up with a smaller monthly payment. I was quoted $399(includes tax)

    MSRP- $31435
    Sales Price-$30435(includes destination)
    Doc--$289
    Registration/Fees-$291.20
    Residual-$20432
    $ Down- $2000
    MF- .00210
    Tax Rate-.00685
    Mileage 12,000/yr
    Lease-36 Months

Are you paying $2000, plus those fees upfront and the first payment? Or, is it $2000 total due at signing?

We are putting $2000 down as a cap cost reduction and paying fees upfront.

If I use $28,435 as the cap cost, then I calculate a payment of $347/mo with tax included.

Ask the dealer what adjusted cap cost they use to get their $399/mo quote.

I have $31015.60 as the gross cap cost. Using the $2000 downpayment I then have 29015.60 as my adjusted cap cost. I thought you needed to factor in fees + negotiated sales price then take out your down payment.

I still only get $366/mo with tax when I use the revised cap cost.

Big disconnect to $399/mo (almost $1200 total).

Hi - So trying to get a good lease deal in NJ on Honda CRV EX AWD 36,000/12 MSRP 28,935 value 27,200 only fees capitalizing are taxes; no money down, cash at signing 1,426 - includes registration 229, acquisition 595, document fees 249, tire fee 7.5 and 1 lease pmt 345) Is $345 including taxes a good lease payment - should I be trying to get them to go lower on the value or is this as aggressive as I can get. Original lease quotes started at 382 with the same information as above - have gone back to dealer to ask what the capitalized cost they are using. Any advice and is 345 a good lease price given the information?
