    Grand Touring AWD
    36/12
    $30,000 MSRP
    $1000 rebate
    $900 destination
    $300 doc fee
Taxes and registration, nothing down, first payment due at signing.
    $750 in trade in value

Does this seem like a good deal or can I negotiate further?

    What is the selling price?
    Two clarifications.

    MSRP is 31635

    .00001 and 59%

With those prices, I get $278/mo

However, if you're going in with $0 out of pocket, you'll need to ask for the adjusted cap cost with all the fees rolled in, and the incentive factored in. Then, we can get you a more accurate picture of the payment.

    Hi,

I just leased Mazda CX-5 GT. It has been 2 days and I just noticed that this car doesn't have all the features that GT supposed to have (Things listed on MAZDA website). Such as Distance Pace Cruise Control and lane departure warning system. I've been negotiating with Sales person over the e-mail and when I had the deal I signed the car and after signing, the deal had to close right away so I took the car. Is this all my fault? Isn't GT suppose to have those options in stock? I never had GT or those options before so I had no idea until I took a look at the manual. Only reason that I leased GT was because I wanted all those safety features. What can I do at this point? The paperwork says it is GT. But no GT features.... Please help.

There are a couple of option packages for the GT that likely include the features you were looking for. They are not standard on the GT.

You may try escalating this to the sales manager or general manager of the dealership and see what they can do for you - they may want to work with you to keep you a happy customer.

I just checked VIN at the other dealer and it came up as GS,not GT. But, my contract has GT all over. Also, confirmed with other dealer that GT comes with all those features. What would be the best way to go about this?

As noted, reach out to the Sales Mgr or General Mgr of the dealership and explain your situation. If you've signed the paperwork and taken delivery, there may not be much that can be done, but the dealer, at this point, is in control of what happens.

Michael, looks like the post–Labor Day deals are out. Not sure what the underlying economics are, but the starting CX-5 lease is now 199 vs 219. Any idea what the money factor and residual on a Touring would be now? I am in Northern California.

Funny, but logged back in today and the 199 had moved back to 219. Hmm.

Any incentives? What types of discounts are competitive off MSRP?
    Thanks in advance.

I'm looking to lease 2017 CX-5 AWD Touring or GT on 36/12 term in Northern NJ. You reported that current terms for these are .00001 and 59%. However when visiting dealer they showed me a printout of .00001 and 58%. Why is that?

Also getting contradicting information on lease incentives - you say there isn't, but when selected from the website in the bonus deals there is 1k incentive. (https://www.edmunds.com/mazda/cx-5/2017/suv/car-incentives/).

Is the incentive applied to where you register the car of where you purchase it?

Also I understand residual value calculation is based on MSRP, but does delivery fee gets included in that calculation?

    Could you clarify these please.

    Thanks in advance.

I show 59% residual for both Touring / GT AWD for 36/12. If there has been a mid-month update, we wouldn't have seen it. Dealer cannot adjust the residual. Suggest you contact other Mazda dealers to see if you get a consistent answer.

The $1K may be a purchase incentive, not valid for lease.

All numbers should be relevant to where the car is registered.

Full MSRP, including destination, is used to calculate the residual value - bottom line number of the factory window sticker.
    Thanks for the help.

I ended up calculating what approximately monthly payments on the car would be and using that number negotiated with a dealer. Here's the deal I signed on August 31st:

CX-5 AWD Touring with Active Sense package
    MSRP: 28,780
    36m/12k
    Monthly: 335
    Drive off: 500

    Ramsey Mazda in NNJ.

My mistake. It was front wheel drive but I had  also plugged in a southern California ZIP Code. Let me just ask, for an  AWD  Touring, what is the lease rate you are currently seeing for Northern California?   And for FWD?

Interesting. The residual is down several points  but the lease cash about  makes up the difference.  How does lease cash work exactly? Is it like an additional down payment?

Hi Can i get MF/Residual for
    2017 touring 36/10 and 24/10?

Can you also confirm if lease cash 890 is available for all trim?
Went to a dealer yesterday and got almost 3k off but they said no lease cash available (they did confirm 1250 purchase cash is there, so it does not look like they want to hide the lease cash)

This is what I can't figure out.

    I get $218.94 with .00001 and 58%; $24985 MSRP and CAP of $22,360.

I assume the first months is in the $1999 but what is the rest of it if the monthly payment includes $595 acquisition fee

    Thank you

    Could this be the answer?

The Sale price is $24985- $890= $24095 but to get to the mentioned Cap Cost of $22,360 the buyer must put down $1735 cash.

The Bank Fee is not in the calculation but instead is $595/36 =$16.53 per month

The monthly payment is $218.94 using the provided numbers for 12k, .00001 and 58%

This gives us $1735+$16.53+$218.94= $1970.47+$28.53 for Doc Fee =$1999

So in reality to get a $0 down payment, you pay the bank and doc fees up front and the monthly payment would be $267.15

They sure make this difficult to understand and are not exactly what I would call transparent in their offer

Those are just ads, not an offer. You should be able to beat that with some decent negotiating skills.

And, we suggest only paying the first payment and any DMV costs, up front. Add in all other taxes and fees to the cap cost. You'll have a higher payment, but won't be risking as much money up front.

Ask the dealer what the adjusted cap cost is, with taxes and fees added in.
