I don't have the exact numbers in front of me, but I ended up taking a deal of just under $298 a month with first month and DMV due at signing (about $645). I thought this was a pretty aggressive deal. Thanks for your help!

So I am currently under lease with a Suburu Impreza. Under miles and paying $243 a month until March 2018 when the lease is up. 

My wife wants to turn in my Suburu early to get the 2017 CX-5 Touring with a sun roof. No matter what, we will be going with the CX-5 Touring with a sunroof, it's just a matter of now or when my lease is actually up.

Since the 2018's are out, we believe that it might be cheaper to go with a 2017 now and then be locked into a fall lease period moving forward. Not sure if you can even answer the question about the extra cost of turning in my Suburu early, but if you could shed some light on what kind of savings we might be looking at with leasing a CX-5 now as opposed to March, I would greatly appreciate it!

Imprezas don't really hold their value that well, and you will likely have quite a bit of negative equity. Cheap leases are only cheap, if you live up to the terms. Suck it up for six months is my advice.

That's a good idea. Lets say I can get my monthly payments to about $280-$290 with 0 zero, that's a good deal right? I calculated the $290 by splitting up my down payment by 36 months.

That's a good idea. Lets say I can get my monthly payments to about $280-$290 with 0 zero, that's a good deal right? I calculated the $290 by splitting up my down payment by 36 months.

If the $2000 included your first payment, then subtract that out, before dividing the rest of it by 36, and you'll be pretty close.

GT AWD, with side rails, cross bars, all weather floor matts, and oil changes for 2 years. They rolled the 1st payment of $333.68 into the cap cost. DMV costs of $424.75 is drive off. Thanks!
