Deal sounds pretty good to me, but what do you think?

    2011 Infiniti G37x Coupe
    Premium Package
    Navigation Package
    MSRP: $46,640
    Initial Negotiated Selling Price: $40,900
    Money Factor: 0.00176
    Residual: $29,849.60
    $0 Cap Cost
    15,000 miles per year
    Initial offer $468/month incl. taxes

Final negotiated deal was $408/month including taxes, all excess wear and tear on my turn-in 08 coupe waived, and $1300 total due at signing including first month's payment. IFS offered a 3 month pull-ahead and the dealer is taking care of my last (fourth) remaining payment.
Deposit is down and I'm waiting for a review copy of the paperwork to come through.
I have VPP Plan A membership and loyalty since I currently have a G37 coupe leased through IFS.
Thoughts? I had two dealers make this offer, but went with the closer one. The dealer I went through last time couldn't/wouldn't match it.

seems like a pretty good deal to me.
I'm currently negotiating a similar car, no nav though,
They said they can do $459 a month $426 due at signing.
I have lease loyalty but don't have the VPP A.
If I move the lease loyalty from covering money down to the monthly payment, mine becomes $1400 due at signing $430 a month.
So you're final deal is $22 less a month than mine plus nav , which sounds about right since you have VPP and I don't.
  • 1buffdaddy1buffdaddy Member Posts: 12
Wow, how much did you have to put down? Would you be willing to send me a copy of that lease so I can use it to negotiate this weekend? You can obviously black out all of the details you do not want out in public.
    Thanks

Hi. can u tell me what the 'VPP A' is. I already know I'm top tier through IFS. Txs!

Hi psmitty- I also live in DC and am negotiating a lease. Just wondering if it makes sense to compare notes & dealers. Would love to get u're take. Txs, mitcharno at gmail dot com

VPP is the Nissan/Infiniti Vehicle Purchase Program, which gives you pre-negotiated discounts on vehicles, to below invoice. Plan A is the top tier of that (as far as I know). I think most membership is through your employer. I didn't have it at my old job but did from my new.

Thanks! Spoke to ifs and they told me it was a family & friends program for Nissan employees. Appreciate the info

2011 g37 coupe journey rwd w/ premium, nav, ill. kickplates, interior accents, performance tire/wheel, cargo mats

    msrp: $46030
    Sale price: $41414
    39 mos, 10k miles/yr
$975 down including first months payment, $430/ month including CA sales tax.
    Offer includes $1k loyalty cash

Was trying to get the $1k manufacturer to dealer marketing support, but apparently it's only for purchases or non-IFS leases. two dealers told me that and when I called Infiniti consumer affairs they couldnt even find the listing of the incentive, even though it's on Edmunds site. I'm in SoCal.

Thoughts? Should I pull the trigger?

Curious as to how this looks, particularly the MF and residual value. This is for a G37x with premium and nav - 39 month lease and 12k miles/year:

    MSRP (including destination) - $43,635
    Negotiated price - $39,114 (TrueCar.com)
    Acquisition fee - $700
    Residual value - 64% ($27,926)
    MF - .00131

I don't qualify for the current $1000 loyalty rebate as this would be my first Infiniti. Aside from this, I feel like this is a good deal. However, I'll really be upset if richer incentives are offered in the fall and I pull the trigger now.

I'm also curious if any of you have used the AutoTrader tool for trade-in values. The dealership told me they would accept their trade-in value for my car.

Thanks in advance for your help!

With help from kyfdx, Car_man & this forum, I've got the following lease deal for G37x sedan/AWD on the table.

*Would appreciate feedback as I'm supposed to do the deal in the morning. dont have monthly pymt or OTD yet- still trying to have them buy current car (lease is done) and save on taxes:

    MSRP- 41,220 (incl destination)
    sale price- 36,750
    mf- .00125
    residual- 65%
    miles- 12K/yr
    36 months
    doc fee- 400.
    acq fee- 700.
    owner loyalty- 1k
tax (va) 6.17%- couldn't get around the 0.17%
    desposition fee- #350.

What do you guys think? OK deal? Txs! Mitch

I am trading in a 2010 G37 C with a payoff of $40,295. I am paying $740/month with 5 years left. I think the car is jinxed, I have had to repaint the roof and fix dings twice on it, and I have had to replace the hydraulics for the top... so I just want to start fresh with a new one.

A local dealer would take it in and roll the negative equity in the sale price and get me a 2011 with sticker of $53k, to a 72 month purchase price for $835... but the dealer I bought it from offered me the same car for $773 for 72 months after taking my trade.

I think I am actually going to end up leasing this one however. So this is what was offered. They would pay off my car ($40,295) plus an additional $705 to cover the first month payment of lease so I sign and drive.

Sign and Drive - including paying off my current loan plus an additional $705 for first payment.

Agreed upon price - $50,083.11 - Sticker was $53k and change.
Total Gross Cap cost - $51,948.11
Cap Reduction - $14.94 (remainder of trade balance minus first month payment)
    Adjust gross cap cost- $51,933.17
    Residual - $31,762.65
    Depreciation - $20,170.41
    Rent - $5,940.87

    Total monthly payment is $689.61 / 39 months / 15k miles
I could also buy it after trade for $773 / 72 months

I do have the following fees that went into gross cap.
    Agreed upon value - $50,083.11
    Title, Lic, Reg - $167
    Acquisition - $700
    Doc - $599
MYSTAR - $399 (i just noticed this. its a 2 year phone service that they said they provide to all customers, I didnt know I had to pay for it)
    Total Gross Cap - $51,948.11

Any advice you can offer is greatly appreciated. I feel like its a great deal for me to get out of my car, when nobody will offer me more than $35,000 and I owe 40k. Even if I bought I am only changing my payment by $33 a month. I did not get a lease quote from my local dealer since they were so high on sale price I didnt bother.

    Hi all-

    Thanks for your input!

In the hopes that this will help someone, I'm posting the lease deal I worked out with Passport Infiniti in Va. I got the dealers name from this forum and had a mostly positive experience. I dealt with Robert (sales mgr) and Sandra (salesperson)- good people. New lease is for g37x/AWD, premium, interior trim, splash guards.

The trade-in value for my 2008 G35x was 21,500. I saved 1,300. in taxes on the new lease, being taxed on the difference between sale price and trade-in value only. iow- i turned the car into the dealer at end of the lease and not Infiniti.

    MSRP- 41,490
    Sale price- 36, 750
    mf- .00125 (top tier)
    residual- 65%
    miles- 12k/yr
    term- 36 months
    doc fee- 400.
    acquisition fee- 700.
    deposition fee- 300.
    loyalty money- 1,000
taxes- 6.17% (leased in Va, live in Md)
    tags, title- $269. (tags transfer)
    doc fee- 400.
destination fee- 895. (incl in sales price above)

    OTD- 1,400. (incl 1st month, tax/tags/title, acquisition)
    monthly payment- 380.43

I am trying to get a lease on a similar build g37x coupe with premium pkg. MSRP 44,590. 39 mo and 10k/yr

I was going off of a MF of 0.00176 and RV 66%. Initial offer from Dealer was 485/mo + 1000 (fees and 1st mo) to hit the road.

I negotiated lease price down to 40,000 and they came back with 469/mo + 1000. Sounds like they raised the money factor on me.

What do you think Car_Man? Also are AUG MF and RV the same as JUL???

    Hey Car man

What is the money factor and residual for a 24 month lease on a G37x Coupe with Premium and Nav package with 12k miles? What would payment be for a sale price of $41,000 8.625% tax? I got

Do you also have the same for 36 and 39 month? I get $418 on a 39 month lease with 0 down.

    Thank you.

Hey larrym. Here's the information that you're looking for. Infiniti Financial Services' August buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 39 month lease of a 2011 G37X Coupe with 12,000 miles per year are .00176 and 65%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier.

The numbers for an otherwise identical lease of a G37 Convertible are .00182 and 60%.

I believe that 15k reduces the residual values by 1%.

The info that you have on multiple security deposits was correct the last time I checked.

Hi Matt. I would be happy to use Infiniti's current lease program to work up a sample payment on the exact car that you are interested in for you provide me with its full MSRP and dealer invoice price. You can find that data over in the New Vehicle Pricing section of Edmunds.com.

Hi nb_111. The money factor and residual value that you were quoted are right on the money. It's tough for me to evaluate this car's selling price without an MSRP or dealer invoice price to compare it to. Do you have either of those numbers?

Hi munch21043. IFS' August buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 39 month lease of a 2011 G37X Coupe with 10,000 miles per year are .00176 and 66%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier.

The $4,500 discount that you were quoted on this car is excellent. Just make sure that they're using the right money factor to calculate your payment and you're in business.

The numbers for an otherwise identical 36 month lease are .00170 and 66%.

The numbers for an otherwise identical 39 month lease are .00176 and 65%.

    Awesome Thanks so much!

So for MSRP of $45,995. Sell price $40,884 on a 24 month lease would be $445 a month at 8.625% tax?

    Thank you
  • brandonubbrandonub Member Posts: 1
I'm looking at leasing a G37X, Sport, Premium, and Nav packages. The MSRP is $48330 and the invoice (according to Edmunds) is $44248. The dealer offered a price of $44832.93, with a 0.67 residual and Money Factor of 0.0022. With 6% tax, plus tags/fees, and $3000 down, this comes out to $529.97. This seems a bit high to me, and I think they have some wiggle room - am I off base?

THX CAR_man. I have a question about buying this car at lease end. I know I would have to cover the residual value of the car, right???

Plus the interest rate on a car loan would be for used car rates or does IFS offer better than avg interest rates on lease rollovers???

    Regards

Using August numbers you can get that deal for $0 down plus 1st month $450 a month.

Some advice go last day of the month and know what you want to pay and tell them another dealer is doing that price...

    Hello,

So I just went to check out a lease at a local dealership near Chicago, and was given some numbers that don't match any of the published valued I can find on the Internet. For example, compare:

    http://www.ridewithg.com/index.php/2011/09/2011-12-infiniti-lease-rates-septembe- r-2011/

With the numbers I was given:

    G37x Sedan AWD

    Term Resid Miles Money Factor
    24mo 71% 10,000 .00136
    24mo 70% 12,000 .00137
    24mo 68% 15,000 .00137

    36mo 64% 10,000 .00132
    36mo 63% 12,000 .00137
    36mo 61% 15,000 .00138

    39mo 64% 10,000 .00132
    39mo 63% 12,000 .00137
    39mo 61% 15,000 .00138

    48mo 56% 10,000 .00174
    48mo 55% 12,000 .00175
    48mo 53% 15,000 .00175

The numbers I have for M37x don't match either.

Historically carman's #'s and ridewithg usually match, so I'm wondering why this dealership's don't. Anybody have other sept #'s to confirm these against? Their numbers are significantly worse of course, so I'm wondering if they're trying to pocket the difference.

Just want to chime in i'm also looking for money and resid on a G37x coupe 15k 36 month and 39 month.

I'm lined up to sign on a
G37x coupe premium no nav tomorrow
    msrp is44790
    cap is 40076
lease loyalty is 1k which would apply to fees, not cap cost.

Dealer is telling me 39 month is $459 with $519 due at sign
36 month is $485 with $545 due at sign.

Using ridewithg numbers, i think both the monthlies should be about $30 lower.
I'd like to get G's numbers verified if I'm going to consider not signing.
  • kingpcgeekkingpcgeek Member Posts: 1,051
Remember that G's residual numbers are for 15k miles a year. Dealers cannot change the residual, but they can markup the money factor.
    2005 G35 Sedan

    2008 G37 Sedan

Here is the deal I have negotiated, it seems ok, but many of you are not putting as much money down.

G37x with Prem Pkg, Sport Pkg & Navigation Pkg.
Maintenance pkg included in lease price covers all required maintenance for duration of lease. (because I am comparing against BMW)
    39mo lease, 12k miles/yr.
$2,500 total down, $415/mo. after tax
If someone has a better deal, please send to me on paper to help me negotiate.
    Thanks.

You're welcome, nb_111. It looks like you're at around $900 over invoice for this car, which isn't bad. Having said that, if you're in an area that has a decent level of competition you might be able to beat this deal by a couple hundred dollars by shopping around.

No problem munch21043. Theoretically you are correct, your vehicle's lease-end purchase option price would be its residual value. Having said that, from time to time banks are willing to negotiate vehicles' purchase option prices. There's certainly no guarantee that IFS will, more often than not banks won't, but it's worth a shot when the time comes.

You would have to pay a typical used vehicle rate to finance your vehicle, which is actually really low right now. That is of course unless Infiniti is running some sort of special promotion several years from now.

Thanks, Car man. A few follow-up questions:

    1) How does the MF and residual change for a 39-month lease instead of 36 months?

    2) Is there still a $1000 loyalty incentive? And are there any others for the G37 coupe right now?

    3) Seems like the MF took a decent jump from August. Generally speaking, is that to be expected moving from Aug. to Sept.? Are there any MF trends typical for this time of year?

Thanks a lot of any insight. I appreciate all the help.

HOST MAN; Here is my lease offer from MI dealership:

2011 G35X with prem & sport packages along with Navigation system. MSRP $44,095 39mo, 15K. no money down (sign & drive), 38 payments of $417.18 incl 6%tax with Multiple Security deposit of $4050. I also have $1,000 loyalty as I am returning 08 G35. I was told money factor is .00029 and residual is 60%. Interested in knowing if this is good deal. It appears to be and salesman tells me it is $159 over invoice. Appreciate any comments. Thanks...............
  • munch21043munch21043 Member Posts: 9
I was working on the same car with same MSRP. I was able to get dealer down to 40000 but was trying to get down to 39500. So you look pretty close.

I backed out of deal due to Maryland Lease Law and the monthly payment being over my budget. Didn't know going into deal Maryland taxes 6% on the Cap cost of the car and rolls it into monthly payments, instead of just paying tax on the car's depreciated value over 39 months.

    Thanks Gov Omalley

Yes, there is still a $1,000 loyalty cash incentive on leases of this car, but no other cash incentives that I am aware of on leases of it.

I wouldn't say that Infinit's September lease program is usually worse than its August program is.

Hi ronspartan. The money factor that you were quoted looks good. A selling price of $159 over invoice would be excellent as well, though you should get an actual selling price from the dealer to make sure that is actually how much you are paying.

My 39 month 2008 g37 is up in December and don't want to lease the 2011's as I've heard there are some issues with the automatic transmission. I love my 2008 and would like to wait for the 2012's.

Unfortunately, blogs don't help and the dealers keep trying to lease me their 2011's, which I'm not interested in. Any idea on when 2012 g37 coupes are hitting dealerships for lease?

    Thanks.
