    My guess is that the incentives are already baked into the discount you've been quoted.

    I get $437/mo with your prices.

    Ask the dealer for a full breakdown of the $3000 up front monies - taxes, fees and the first payment are likely the majority. There may be some left over that is being used as cap cost reduction - about $500.

    If you're comfortable with the selling price, and you understand the breakdown of the $3000, all looks good.

    I got a quote from a dealer which uses 12k 51% for 36mons and 58% for 24mons for a p+ AWD in SF Bay area. Should I tell them that their number for residual is wrong and the correct number should be 60% and 62%. Any Suggestions for negotiating the residual number in their calculation?     They can't change the residual.
    Maybe, they are quoting a 2017 model?

    24 month payments will not be good. I'd stick with 36 months.

    My dealer give me a break down which has an item called "tax on collected item" and it is included in total cap. Is this item standard?
    Also, my dealer deduct the first month payment from down payment and use that number as cap cost deduction. I am very skeptical with this calculation. Is this a common way for deduction?
    Ex. due at signing = 2000.
    first month payment = 600
    cap deduction = 1400

    As there is an incentive available, and you are putting cash down, you will owe sales tax on those amounts.

    Yes, deducting the first payment from the total amount you give to the dealer is a standard practice.

    All that said, however, we suggest you limit your cash out of pocket to just the first payment and DMV costs; add everything else into the lease payment.

    How does this deal look.
    MSRP $51,230 reduction to $43,045 with taxes and fees $47,242.35.
    An A4 Premium Plus 36/15K $627 Base Lease with 1K down. In Miami FL.

    Taxes are collected on the monthly payment in Florida. So, how do you get from $43045 to $47242? You need the adjusted CAP cost on the lease quote, not an out-the-door purchase price, which it appears they've provided.

    From the $43,045.50 they added the following and included taxes which I agree is off.
    Tax $2692.85
    Battery Fee $1.50
    Doc Fee $697.50
    Lemon $2.00
    Reg $500
    Tag $298
    Tire $5
    Balance $47,242.35

    Using the current MF and residual it seems like they calculating the lease off the $47,242 when it should be $43,000.

    Residual is always calculated as a percentage of MSRP.
    You have to get that right, before any of the other numbers will work.
