Thanks so much for your help! My buddy ended up leasing a 2018 Sorento EX FWD today. The EX included the Advanced Technology Package, floor mats and mud flaps. MSRP of $38,190. Dealer Discount was about $4100 + $4000 lease case. On a 36/10k lease, He drove off with $2000 out of pocket and a payment of $326 a month, including taxes. I think the residual was $21,790.

Not sure if it's dealer lease cash or consumer lease cash
If it's dealer cash, then it's just like any other dealer discount
If it's consumer cash, then yes, it's like you wrote a check for the reduction.

It's just an accountant playing with a spreadsheet. Puts in a combination that gives you the same payment as last month. Money factor goes up, but so does lease cash, etc. It's the payment that results that really matters, as you are renting the vehicle.

No one complains about the lease cash being too high...

2.0T or V6 on the EX?

There were substantial changes made in the program numbers in November. Much higher MF, but much higher lease cash now. But, in the end, a relatively stable payment from last month.

Just accountants plugging numbers into a spreadsheet, hoping to strike the right balance to move inventory.

The sources are confidential.

They should be standard for all dealers in the region.

That said, dealer can mark up the MF for extra profit.
