Kia has chosen to balance high money factors with very high incentives. Ultimately, the goal is to achieve a competitive monthly lease payment. In the end, it's the payment that matters.

CA taxes the monthly payment, and it's applied monthly. Acquisition fees are taxable, either way, so we suggest rolling them into the CAP cost, though you may pay it upfront, if you wish. License/registration are non-taxable fees, so we suggest paying them upfront, as they become taxable, if you roll them into the payment.

Those are your options, though. You can structure it however you want, except for the tax.

Kia does not offer an MSD program.

Though, now that they've changed tactics and increased the MF across the board, there could be some benefit in offering it.

Hi Micahell, sorry to add another question here. If I try to negotiate for a lower lease by moving to a 2017 Kia Sorento, EX 2.0 w/ FWD I would need to pick both the Premium Package and the Advanced Touring Package to have the same features. MSRP on the Kia site for that configuration shows $36,695, about $300 less than the list price for the 2018 version. Would my MF, residual and incentives significantly change with the 2017?

24/12 is the lowest mileage allowance for that term

The Sorento is so spacious and nice, but not sure I can get the payment down enough. I would be thrilled if you could model a payment using an MSRP of $40,065 and ACC at $27,145 (ACC arrived by using gross cap cost of $35,795 minus the lease cash of $6900 and minus $1750 down payment). I hope this what you need. I tried getting a payment with a lease calculator but not sure it's working right. Thanks again!

As is, those prices give me a payment of $283/mo.

However, you are still responsible for the taxes and fees that are due.

And, are you sure you can get $4000+ off sticker, before incentives? Seems like a stretch to me.

Many thanks! Yeah, it seems like it would be a task to have them honor the dealer discounted price online that they say doesn't include the $2000 customer cash (for finance buyers). I have had a difficult time in the past getting the same negotiated price for a lease as I would get for a finance.

Luckily, this time, I have a 1997 Mercedes S500 with 108k miles that will keep me company until I find a deal that I'm happy with. As a Realtor, I need a more reliable car to shuttle around town. We'll see how it goes. Thanks again!
