Taking delivery of my '18 XC90 T8 Rdesign this month, and am looking for feedback, and to share our deal. I was guaranteed the below incentives/pricing unless, upon delivery, more favorable terms were available. Lake County, IL. Having trouble matching their tax calculation. Please let me know if the numbers work for you, and if December incentives/rates are better. Is this a good deal?

Retail on the car is $69,045 with $6,740 off.

They then added $630.75 in fees and $4,834.84 taxes.

Total $67,770.59

They state they are using a .00154 money factor.

I would like to be under $800 per month with $0 down and $0 drive off

I just returned from the dealer with the following (rejected) offer. XC90 Momentum T6 with MSRP of $61,825. RV-56%/MF=.00138 for a 39 month/12m lease. They want $88 tag/registration and $429 doc fee. They also want $995 acquisition fee. They offered it at a cap cost of $54,700 which did not include the above mentioned fees. I offered $53,000 and told them I would write a check for the tag/reg and 1st month payment. I question the MF and Acq. Fee. Your thoughts on those factors or any other elements of the deal including the price I offered? This is in NC.

I think this is too much money for that lease. If I remember, I believe the 30 month lease is the sweet spot as residual and money factor are decent. I think the acquisition fee is too high, but want others to comment. Doc fee, dealer fee, and prep fee are all the same. They all add this on to the lease. Find out what invoice is and this will allow you to see how much money they are taking off. I looked at an inscription MRSP about $64,200 with invoice about $59,000. Adjusted cap cost was about $55,000. Lease payment was going to be about $655 just 1st month and DMV fees. Sorry I do not have exact numbers as it has been about 2 weeks since we went to dealer. I will re-evaluate as the month goes on. If dealers are concerned about numbers for the month, your deal may be better.

Work out the lease numbers for 30 months and see what the payment is. You may be surprised.

Based on your MSRP of $59,990, cap cost of $52,465.80, and sales tax of $2,452.27, I get a $687.84 monthly. If your MRSP is $59,705, then payment is about $691. Due at signing is your $887.28. Hope this helps.

So how do they come up with 729 if I ran those numbers like you and come up with 687. Then they marked up bank fee $300 which I will request off the cost.

Is there the $800 Volvo lease cash available also? They said 3k was incentives but do not see the lease cash in deal.

You need to go over with the dealer how they come up with $729. I am sure you are missing something such as cap cost is higher than$52,465.80.

You have to be relentless with dealers these days and just play the game the way they don't want you to. Talk to multiple dealers and put then against each other. It is also December and as the month and year come to an end they are going to start to needing to move units.  I would present them with a lower number than you actually want, tell them you have time and know they need to move units and when they are ready to make a deal to call you. Just sit tight, if you do that with a few dealers I'm sure one will bite before Jan 2nd, when the sales year ends for them. You just have to wait them out.

I am not sure what your tax rate is. The 30 month at 15K is 60% and MF of .00130. The depreciation is 16,471.80 and finance charge is 3,449.93. Found out taxes and see what payment is. Maybe slightly higher by a little. As above by danmgy11, if you can wait to later in the month, may get better deal.

They also told me the bank fee is not inflated and that I am not correct.

You may have to expand your search to the other boroughs, or even NJ or CT, to get the deal you want.

30 month term is absolutely available, and the bank fee is marked up from $695.

It only takes one dealer to meet your numbers.

So, taking the tax out of the payments results in ($811 X 36) + $5000 +$5002.
Multiply that by the tax rate, and it's pretty close.

You may want to try dealerships in New Jersey. Check for a Volvo dealership on route 17 in Paramus and Ramsey. As above your lease payment should be less than $729. Are your taxes correct that the dealer told you?

The deal I showed for 729 is with Glen cove. Karp I went to also and they are playing games. Bayside gave me a quote then reneged- wasted my time- was there to sign deal. Huntington I went to and salemen just lied or lies. Turned me off and told him take a hike.
