$0 down payment is not the same as $0 due at signing; clarify that with the dealer.

Tell them you won't sign a deal where the MF is marked up.

If they're marking it up, and you want to lease, work with another dealer.

Ah, correct - this isn't $0 at signing, just $0 cap reduction/down payment. I'll make sure that's correct though (since that might explain the higher price).

Hopefully they come down on MF! Thanks for your help.

I'm looking to lease 2018 XC90 Momentum T6 in the bay area

    39 month / 10k / $0 down

Here's what I received from the dealer last week. Is this a good offer? I feel it's pretty high :/

    MSRP: 60,500
    Sale price: 53,600
    MF .00113
    RV: 56%
    Monthly including sales tax: $690
Out of pocket (no Cap Reduction): 1,256.14 (covers first payment, first year registration, documentation fee and electronic filing fee)

Also - is the sale price same as the net cap cost? what other question I should ask the dealer? What should I focus in negotiations to reduce the monthly payment (sale price, RV, other things?)

    Thanks!

I get $604/mo plus tax with those numbers.

I confirm the MF and RV

I suspect the adjusted cap is higher than the sales price - ask the dealer for that number, and how they got there from the sale price.

There is a $3000 lease incentive; use that knowledge to negotiate your best price, as that will be your best approach to getting a low lease payment.

Both the dealer I'm working with and another one in the area (Denver/Boulder) are insisting the MF for a 2018 XC90 Inscription is .00154. Are we sure it should be .00103?

T6 Inscription MF is .00103 - what incentive do we have to deceive you? What incentive does the dealer have?

Politely tell them you won't sign a deal where the MF is inflated. Keep shopping - there are plenty of Volvo dealers in Colorado; it only takes one to meet your numbers.

HI, are there any known Black Friday incentives? I know we can't predict the future but as of now, I'm planning to lease a XC90 between Christmas and New Years to get the best deal/incentive. However, I can move that up to this week if there's a special. Thanks.

No information on any upcoming deals or events.

The week after Christmas is often referred to as the "Super Bowl" for car buying for a reason.

Ok.. Got my first actual offer from the dealership on a T8 R-Design.

    MSRP - 80,840.00
    Cap Reduction - $9,777.00
Total add to Cap - $1,075.00 (I think this is the Tow Hitch I requested)
    Rebate - $5,002.00
    Adjusted Cap Cost - $63,137.72
    MF - 0.00180
    Term - 39
    License Fee - $579
    Doc Tax 9.5 %
    CapTax1 Rt/Amt - $928.84
    Total UpFront Fees - $37.75

    Drive Off - $12,143.73
    Customer Cash Down - $7141.73

    Base Monthly - $749.64
Total Monthly With Tax - $820.86

Thoughts? MF seems to be marked up pretty high right?

    I confirm .00180 for the T8 R-Design.

    How many miles per year?

Is the dealer asking you for over $7000 at signing, or is some of that covered by the available incentives?

MSRP is $52610.00. With 6k off it would be $46610.00 and leasing numbers are as follows.
$0 down 10k per year (including ttl) $711, $0 down 12k per year (including ttl) $724, $0 down 15k per year (including ttl) $749
    "

The numbers come about $100 low if I go with the numbers you had provided me earlier.

I realized that the dealer is charging Destination fee of $995 in the MSRP ($60,500) and adding Acquisition fee of $995 to the selling price $53,600 which increase the adjusted cap price to $54,600

Do dealers charge both destination fee and acquisition fee? If so what's the difference between both?
Also - I remember reading in this form that destination fee should be $695 and not $995.

    Appreciate your help!

    Which term?
    Which model?

Texas taxes the full selling price on a lease. So, on $46K, that's probably over $3000.

    1) Forget about the destination fee. It's just part of the MSRP.
    2) Acquisition fee is a lease specific fee, charged by the bank.
Base fee is $695 and the bank allows dealers to mark it up to $995 for extra profit.

What's the generic opinion about the A-Plan? I realized my company participates and I see an additional $750 elite bonus on top of the A-Plan pricing and Volvo Allowance

    Hi,

Looking for MF and RV for 12k/15k.

    XC90 T5 Momentum

    XC90 T6 Momentum Plus

What are the current allowances to negotiate the sale price?

    Thanks!

For the T5, FWD or AWD?

For both, what lease term are you interested in?
can you give the pricing for both?

    T5 AWD and T5 FWD

Looking at 36 or 39 months..
    15K numbers; add 2% for 12K

    T5 MOM FWD - .00161 and 55% / 54%
    T5 MOM AWD - .00157 and 56% / 55%
    T6 MOM - .00113 and 54% / 53%
    $3000 HSE allowance
    Hello,

Can you please comment on the offer I have here from a local dealer in Dallas.
    "
MSRP is $52610.00. With 6k off it would be $46610.00 and leasing numbers are as follows.
$0 down 10k per year (including ttl) $711, $0 down 12k per year (including ttl) $724, $0 down 15k per year (including ttl) $749
    "

The numbers come about $100 low if I go with the numbers you had provided me earlier.
    Which term?
    Which model?

Texas taxes the full selling price on a lease. So, on $46K, that's probably over $3000.
Quote is for 39 months on 2018 T5 FWD

Even with 6% sales tax on $46k, I am getting the payments around $650/month for 39 months.

When I had A-plan (a few years back), the prices were always better than what I could negotiate on my own.

    I get $562/mo.+tax
If I add $5000 for tax and acquisition fee, I get about $698/mo.

I'd just ask the dealer for the adjusted CAP cost on the deal, and an itemization of how they got from the selling price to that number.

    2018 xc90 momentum T6 10k miles:

The money factor is marked up from the .00113 base MF
The acquisition fee is marked up from base $695.
Those two markups add $55/mo. to the payment.

    No sales tax?

    I wouldn't recommend putting $5K upfront on a lease.

How does this look now? Do you think there would be any more room in the selling price? Hold out until Black Friday? End of December?

There is no rush to pull the trigger immediately. Wait until this weekend or next week as we get closer to the end of the month. I doubt very much the deal will get worse, but it may get better.

    1) Forget about the destination fee. It's just part of the MSRP.
    2) Acquisition fee is a lease specific fee, charged by the bank.
Base fee is $695 and the bank allows dealers to mark it up to $995 for extra profit.
Picked up my xc90 T6 today. Thanks to this forum and the moderators I felt very informed when negotiating. Cheers!

Is "tailored parts" the same as "tailored dashboard" on a T6 Inscription? And Momentum doesn't have this option, right? Thanks.

Destination charge is part of the MSRP.
Thanks - so possible that we can negotiate down to 695?

    55% residual.

You can try to negotiate the acquisition fee; probably easier to adjust your offer for the selling price by $300 to compensate.

Hi Everyone, this forum is amazing! Thanks for everyone's input. I'm in Southern California.

I'm looking at a T6 AWD MOM with MSRP of $56,940.

    1. Can the MF go down below 0.0013?
    2. Is it reasonable to expect a 10% discount from MSRP in addition to the $3,000 HSE allowance?
    3. is 55% RF correct for a 12K miles/year lease for 39 months?

I'm looking to get a lease at $495/mo before tax, 39 months lease, 12K miles a year, $1000 drive off, is that reasonable?

    Thanks!
