Question regarding the $3,000 dealer allowance. I was told by the sales person on the phone that it's a dealer rebate that allows them to discount deeper, NOT a rebate that the consumer pays tax on, can you confirm? Basically saying that I should expect no more than 10% total off MSRP. Here's how I see my deal breaking out, let me know if I am double counting my rebate or should stick to my guns. Thanks!

This is our first time leasing, and we feel like we're getting ripped off. We've talked to several dealers. We're looking at the 2018 Volvo XC90 T6 Inscription.

One dealer gave us the following quote.

• MSRP: $65,490

• Down payment: $1,500 + 1st month payment + fees
  
• Monthly payment: $983.89

I'm not sure if this monthly payment includes taxes. We're in Texas where the rate is 6.25%.

The monthly payment and the money factor both seem high. Thoughts?

Those are Momentum numbers, and yes, the money factor is marked up from .00113.
I know it's not Inscription, because the residual is too high for that model.
.00084 MF and 54% residual for T6 Inscription

Texas taxes the full selling price, so tax is going to add about $100/mo.

Hard to know how they got to the number, since none of the variables given match the model.

What is MF and Residual for T5/Mom/AWD 36/15 & 36/12 in NYC.

Here is the issue

This is for a 2018 T5/AWD/MOM

53195 is MSRP
50063 is negotiated price (which is invoice price)
2028.33 are taxes which include fees (fees including Bank, 1st month & DMV is $1,092.50)
no downpayment but I did leave a 1000 refundable deposit to build the car so that will be used toward the bank, 1st month and DMV).
assuming incentives are still 3000 that puts my adjusted cap cost around
50,998.83 - 3000 = 47,998.83 (I got this price by adding the negotiated price to the taxes then subtracting what I think rebates will be).

I know my numbers are off but just with these numbers does that sound like a 687.42 payment. And they still want another 2200 down to get that payment. So in all they are talking a total of 3200 down. Something doesn't smell right.

I told him 36/15 is what I will need.
