For MBFS in general, money factors have been creeping up. Residuals tend to drop, all year long. So, the lease variable aren't likely to get better. The one variable that would give you a lower lease payment is added incentives. No clue on when/if that might happen.

Says that maybe possibly waiting to go out in Q4. Got into an accident and they totaled my E300 so looking to see whats most feasible. I appreciate the help.

I won't argue with the dealer. It's possible things could get better.

But, when leasing, it's also possible that the model you are interested in might never become a good deal. The incentives could all go to the purchase side. Not to mention, color/option choices will become less as they sell down the 2018 inventory. That wouldn't make me jump on a bad deal, but you might need other make/model options.

I just wanted to thank you guys for all your help. I have been using this forum for years and there is no better resource than the info you provide. I just wanted to share the details of my latest lease. I leased a demo E400 coupe AWD with 6,000 miles on it. The MSRP was $74,000. The gross cap cost with all fees and taxes came to $62,623. MF was .00025. I put nothing down. All that was due at signing was first months payment of $737. Lease was for 36 months 12,000 miles a year. Thanks again for all your help.

It's hard to generalize.. Seems like 3%-4% over the model year.

But, often, money factors also drop, while incentives increase. It's rare for the actual lease payment to get worse, as the year goes along

You should definitely be able to use MSDs.
The key is to make sure they don't mark up the money factor to begin with, though.
