    Any updates on residuals/incentives for 3 series? 10k/24 and 10k/36 (zip: 29169)

Awful deal. For comparison my payment on a 2016 340xi MSRP $62K is $575 before sales tax.. 36/12. $0 down lease I only paid the 1st month payment, license, and registration at delivery.

You can compare a 2 yr old deal on BMWs today. I wish people would stick with today's facts and leave history at the door.
signed 08/31/7; $599/month (tax included), 2017 340i MSRP $61k, 36 mos, $0 down/$0 drive off, 15k miles/year. Dealer took 335i with 3 lease payments left (and 10k miles under), got a $900 check back from dealer. Probably had something to do with dealers trying to make their number at the end of month...

there are good deals out there, nothing wrong with sharing info. for others to see... The question is how can we help each other get a great deal, kind of the point in this forum?!

I get your point though, whether or not this can be repeated in another 2-3 years is another story, but there is at least some sort of baseline to compare.

Looking for the MF and Residual Value for a BMW 2018 330i for April 2018 and info on any current incentives and loyalty. Will lease for 36 mo., 10k or 12k miles. Thanks!!!

Hello Anh. So you rolled your first month/tax/license, acquisition etc... completely into the lease payment? Most BMW leases cost about 1800 or so at the start in terms of drive off without any cap reduction.

I paid nothing out of pocket, a true $0 down and/or $0 drive off. Whatever fees/licensing/taxes (7.5% in my area) is in the $599/mo I'm paying now. I couldn't believe it either... Coming off a 2014 435i with $58k MSRP, $1k out of pocket at signing, and $658/mo I didn't know it could be better!

Also had a 2nd dealer in the mix, back and forth, I guess one dealer was willing to do what it takes to make the number...

Hello, looking for the MF and residual % for a 2018 340i? Also any word on when the '19 3 series will start hitting lots? I'm coming off my lease on a '15 335i paying $515.83 for a fairly loaded model and trying to get close to that again. Thanks

It's possible the incentives are regional. We don't have all the regions to compare.

Extra 3% tax on a lease in PA, so your sales tax rate is actually 9%.

    $411 1st payment
    $925 acq.fee
    $300 DMV/doc fees (est)
    $1600 CAP reduction (est)
$500 upfront tax on CAP reduction, rebate and acq.fee (est)

    So.. sale price, minus $3500 rebate/incentive, minus $1600 = $36.395 adjusted CAP
    Results in $368/mo.+tax = $401/mo.

That's off by about $350 total. Considering I estimated a lot of it, I'm sure their numbers are correct, as that is pretty close.

You are about 5.1% off MSRP, before incentives. We like to shoot for 7% on a BMW. That's about $700 more off.. That would drop the payment by about $20/mo.

That looks to be a fair deal.. no markups to the money factor.
I wouldn't want to put that much upfront.
With just $2000 upfront, your payment would be about $465/mo.

Is there any reason for a dealer to not disclose if the $3k credit was available?  Last month I was told that only a 2k credit and 750 in loyalty were available.  I am going to reach out again in now that it’s april, but was curious if any of you knew.  I am in north Texas, zip 75034

Hello Gents, trying to work on a 2 retired loaner 330is. One is a regular sedan and the other is 330i GT. We're in Southern California

May I have the current MF and RV on both vehicles. I'm assuming it's the same 3k lease incentive plus $750 loyalty (we're currently leasing a 5 series). Thank you for your time.

BMW has quite a few regional markets, and we only see the incentive information from one or two. So, it's entirely possible that the incentives are different in Texas. No, they have no reason to hide it from you. They can't re-submit your contract and keep the incentive.

When I purchased a BMW in September, there was a $1000 rebate that I didn't know about. So, it happens.

Good that it's under 5K miles.

Hello - I was previously told here that the MF and Residual for 36month/10k miles annually on a 2018 340i xDrive are as follows:

    .00156 MF and 61% residual
$3000 lease credit and $1500 loyalty credit.

Can you confirm that these numbers are accurate for my region (Buffalo, NY) for April 2018?

My dealer is telling me that MF for our region is .00158, and I'm not sure what the current incentives are.

    Thanks!

The BMW numbers are national, and there is no real upside for the dealer to bump the MF a measly .00002. There isn't any profit in it for them.

Is it only me or the BMW lease program has been expensive through years? I still lease the BMW 4 series back in 2015 and it costs me only $450 a month. My lease will be up in September so I will come back to this forum again but just a general thought when looking at those high payments

Totally agree. The lease deals now aren't quite what they were in 2015. I got a 328i then, even not knowing much about leasing at that point on a pretty solid deal and after doing my research for the last few years am having trouble even approaching what I found then.

Question on a deal for the mods.

After talking to several dealerships, the best deal I've found on an 18 340 is as follows. Want to see what your numbers look like. They're doing something weird and just factoring in all incentives as price off of msrp; all other dealers have done discount + itemized incentives, but we'll see what numbers you guys get. Turning in current leased 328 and completely zeroing out my last two payments of 430. Everyone else doesn't want to dip below $610-615 and I've been set on not doing anything unless they got to $560.

    MSRP: 57430
Discount: 10,109.33 (current incentives of $2750 are a part of that; the 3k lease cash is only 2k where I am)
    Adjusted price: 47320.67

    $1500 down, $584 per month. 36/12.

Yes, BMW has made leasing more expensive over the last couple of years:

    1. Gradual increase of MF - was .0013x then, .00156 now
    2. Termination of the MSD program
    3. Lowering of residuals (they were artificially inflated in the past, and I suspect BMWFS took a bath on a lot of units that were worth less than the contract value)
    4. Changes to the fleet program, for those who qualified

Little changes each, but together they add up to a big difference in the payment.

And, rising interest rates going forward will likely mean more uncertainty; all borrowing will get more expensive throughout 2018.

So you're saying purchasing is better for this year? I'm looking for another German car to lease but I've seen those high payments on BMW, Mercedes, and Audi. Which brand do you recommend to lease at this point? I'm looking at 3,4 series, Mercedes C-class, and Audi A4/A5

The C-Class will probably lease out cheaper than any of the other ones.

Infiniti Q50 leases well, if you are open to non-German makes

Completely agree. With European Delivery (dealer gave me $1000 over European Delivery Invoice, which is nearly 11% off price of car), my loaded 335i xDrive M Sport that would have MSRP'd for 57500 only costs me $502/month. Not only was my deal excellent because of the ED Pricing, but also because BMW used to inflate their residuals.

If I want to keep my payment in the 500s, even negotiating with my dealer to give me $1000 over US Invoice and with the current loyalty rebates and lease credits, i have to spec the car with way fewer options.

Thank you—I agree. Dealer is insisting it's .00158 and not .00156. Can you confirm what the current lease credit and loyalty credit are?

    $3000 lease credit
    $750 loyalty
But, we don't have every region. Your region could be slightly different.

Are you getting quotes for ED, or rolling over MSDs? Or both?

Otherwise, .00158 makes no sense. The money factor is .00156 for every BMW model in April.

Ended up getting a deal I felt really pleased with, even if, by my calculations, the MF was marked up to .00160.

The dealer took my prior leased 15 328i that was at 31k miles and had two payments and 5k miles left, and I got into an $56.5k 18 340i for $1500 out of pocket and $546/mo in Texas with 6.25 tax rate and only 2750 in incentives here.  For the most part it seemed like even breaking lower $600/month has been challenging in the interactions with dealers I have had.

Lots of back and forth and surveying almost every dealer in Dallas/Houston/Austin over the last six weeks toget there, but finally home and happy with my deal.  The finance guy let me know that apparently BMW leases don’t cover all routine maintenance like they did when I leased in 2015.  Now essentially just oil changes and filters.  Can anyone comment on that or if they’ve heard the same?  I still opted for no extra add on protection because my last one never needed anything.

Just wanted to say thank you to the community and mods for all your help in the process.  It’s nice not to feel like you’re going it alone.  I really appreciate it.

    Congrats!

Yes, the maintenance program has changed. It used to be 4yr/50K, and covered anything that could happen, including brakes, etc..

Now, it's a 3yr/36K program that just covers scheduled maintenance.
I think the cost to restore the program to include brakes, etc is $600 (though that's still just 3/36).
That doesn't mean they wouldn't try to charge you more than the MSRP for it.

This place is truly a labor of love- thanks for the amazing advice

Im wrapping up a 2015 BMW Lease on a 320i and negotiated with my dealer in the Bay Area California to arrive at a price of $30.5k for the 2018 320i (arrived at this number with a couple of credits over the holidays). What should I be looking at for MF and Residual ?

Hello, I’ve been looking at this forum for over two months now because I am going to purchase my first leased car from BMW and want to ensure I am getting a fair and competitive deal. I custom built my 2018 BMW 320i online to the MSRP of 37,900. There is a destination + handling cost of $995, which brings total MSRP as built to 38,895. Since looking at all the calculations you have given this month I made my own lease calculation through Excel and it seems somewhat accurate. I want the lease to be 36 for 15k so I assumed the residual would be 58% and the money factor of .00156. Please inform me if that is incorrect so I may adjust. I plan on negotiating the MSRP down 8% before promotions and things of that nature. After that negotiating the MSRP for I got 35,784. So now lets assume the $2,000 for the BWW lease credit since people are having issues with the full $3,000. Now I am a recent college grad so they have another $1000 off. So that’s 32,095 with the residual at 58% and the money factory at .00156 I got $347 a month. My question is what do you get for my monthly and what should be expected up front, with the college grad discount the security deposit is waived as well. Also would it be more beneficial to get a loan through my credit union, so I do not have to go through BMW finnce at al? Thank you.

If you plan to lease, best to stick with BMWFS; they'll have the best rates, and you won't have any end-of-lease issues.

You'll need to account for sales tax and fees in your calculations - NJ taxes the sum of the payments up front, plus any incentive monies. There is a $925 acquisition fee levied by the bank, and your dealer will likely have a doc fee of $300-600. The taxes and fees should be added to the selling price and made part of the payment.

Be advised, that building a car on-line and finding one exactly like that on the dealer lot are two different things. You may have to settle for a car with more (or different) options than what you want. That will adjust the MSRP and your discounted selling price.

Understand, I will stick with BMW leasing. I thought if built it online I would just have to wait the 6-8 weeks for the car to come and will purchase it when it gets here. Do you mind giving me what you estimate the monthly will be for a 320i MSRP 38,895. sales price 32,000 for 36 15k miles Georgia. So I can have a more accurate representation I may be off.

6-8 weeks might be pushing it. It could happen, but not if the car is coming from the South Africa plant.
Doesn't seem like it would be all that hard to find a 320i already on the lot.

    $35,784
    -$2000
    -$1000
    = $32,784, not $32095.

    So, $370/mo., not $347/mo.

    Add $925 acquisition fee
    + $1000 tax
= Adjusted CAP cost of $34,709
    Payment = $427/mo.
Due at signing: 1st payment + DMV fees + dealer fee.
