are these payments correct? when i plug it in on the edmunds calculator i'm getting something different so i just want to make sure this is correct and a good deal. thanks so much! 2018 RDX FWD Base - Southern California sell price/cap cost: $29,800 + $595(bank fee) = $30,395 title registration fees:$557.45 incentives rebates: Applied to selling price down payment or cap reduction: $0 lease term: 36 money factor: .00039 (on approved credit) residual value: $20,961.75 total loan amount: $30,395 monthly payment (tax included):$303.91
Yes, that looks like a good deal to me. How much is due at signing?
In his original email he said the following...

    $951.25  is $310 First monthly payment(remaining payments will be 35) / $80 Doc fee / $558.10 DMV fees / $3.15 Tax

but then when when I asked him to provide all the details that I provided in previous post he put $0 in the down payment cap reduction so that’s also where I’m confused and just wanting to make sure I’m not missing something.
i would like to get the payment including tax to $295 or anything under $300. Is the only way I can do that to try and get selling price lower?

    thank you!

Those are legitimate up front costs, that you should pay when signing the contract.

The only way to get under $300/mo is to negotiate a lower selling price, though we are talking about $100-150.

    Can't hurt to ask.

The first section is the response I got when I asked what was due at signing. The second section is another bid I got from a different dealer. Thoughts?

    sell price/cap cost: $29,800 + $595(bank fee) = $30,395
    title registration fees:$557.45

incentives rebates: Applied to selling price

    total loan amount: $30,395

Minimum drive off is not part of down payment. That is the reason why down payment shows $0 and I didn’t add drive off to the selling price.

Sell price/cap cost: $29,983.60 include dealer equipment value of $1290

    title registration fees: $433.75

    acquisition fee: $595

    down payment or cap reduction:$952

    lease term: 36

    money factor: 0.00039

    residual value: $20961.75

    total loan amount: $30499.69

    monthly payment (tax included): $285 +tax 7.75 = $307

I agree with the math on both quotes.

My guess is that the dealers are defining cap reduction differently - dealer 1 is correct as there is $0 cap reduction (down payment), but the up front costs include the first payment and DMV costs. Dealer 2 is likely looking for the same items to be paid at signing, but erroneously marked them as cap reduction.

The quote from dealer 1 is slightly better, as it results in a lower payment.

Is gap insurance always included in the lease price? Instead of lowering the monthly payment, he mentioned benefits including gap insurance.

Is this always part of the lease?

GAP insurance is part of every Acura lease. No reason to pay extra for anything.

What are the chances the MF will go up and RV down after this weekend? Will they most likely stay at what they are or get even better with the 2019’s coming to lots soon or could the deals get worse next month?

It's possible there could be a change to the programs in June, but there are no guesses from me as to what changes there may be.

RV tends to drop during the year, but the MF and incentives tend to change to keep the relative payment about the same.

Just traded a 2016 RDX Tech with 13000 plus miles for a 2018 RDX Tech. Same payment; $425 including tax. I paid the first payment on the new one and $100. I'm happy

Very nice! What was the final selling price and in what part of the country are you located?

Hi, are there any incentives for the 18 Acurs RDX in 92844?

Not seeing any in autobyte/Acura website. Is there a site you would recommend for current incentives?
  • dstevens10dstevens10 Member Posts: 53
I'm interested to learn what negotiated selling price you all got for an AWD w/technology package. The dealer I'm negotiating with tells me that the MSRP went up slightly to $42,195 and invoice is $$40,105. He then tells me that Edmunds TMV includes all lease incentives (is that true?). For example, today it's $39,102.

Are you all able to apply the $3,600 lease cash and extend the discount - or is $39k the final price? He said the best he can do is $37,488. When you bundle all other costs in the lease (acq. fee, doc, title) and no down payment, the cost before taxes comes out to $456 (36/12k). Seems high for a model that is being replaced by a completely refreshed car.
  • mehuls27mehuls27 Member Posts: 9
For what it's worth, I got a negotiated price of $38.4K on MSRP of $45K (Advance package). I pushed many times, but they won't budge.
At the end, they had the color, were close by, and we got a good vibe from them, and so we closed with them. Truth be told, the closing was very smooth. No selling of any kind.

Another dealer was ~$100 lower. If color and convenience are not deal breakers, I could have gotten the car for $37.9 to $38K.

You can extrapolate from my experience.

    $3300 on base
    $3600 on other trims

The incentives are Acura-to-dealer incentives, so undisclosed.

The incentives are all Acura-to-dealer. So, you can't apply them.
Edmunds TMV is a purchase price, and some of these incentives are only good on the lease.

I think you did well. In my area, it's tough to get much below that for the Tech package alone.

    What is the tax rate?

What is the adjusted cap cost?

How much is due at signing? ($0 down and $0 due at signing are not the same thing)

With your prices, I get $336/mo before tax.

Never leased before and looking to know what the Residual and Money Factor would be for a 2018 RDX AWD with Tech in zip code 19341 (PA). Looking at 3 years/15K miles. Would anyone know about dealer incentives and other offers right now and are they trying to clear the 2018s with 2019s coming out? Will they throw in things like bike rack or all-weather floor mats? Also considering Advance package but have heard from some it's not worth it.

    Thanks in advance.

I don't think they will throw in, anything. Anything you add will increase the price, whether they say so, or not.

Gentlemen, have you yet learned of the MF and RV for the 2019 Acura RDX w/Advance? I stopped into the dealership today, and I took one for a test drive. I’ve been waiting for its debut, so I was pretty much already sold. I completed the lease application, and 30 mins later, the finance manager tells me he can’t do the lease until Friday, June 1 because they don’t have the RVs and MFs for the vehicle. I know Acura has advertised a release of June 1, but I’ve received countless emails from a host of dealers telling me they’re in stock and available, and I know someone who purchased one on Monday, albeit he financed. Seems silly to roll the car out without lease numbers unless the dealerships received inventory early and have taken it upon themselves to sell before the official rollout. Im also guessing I should expect to pay MSRP? Thanks in advance for your input!

Likely not until Friday, as the dealer stated.

Are the rates out for the 2019 models yet? Looking at 36/48 A-Spec and Advance, 12/15k per year in 43123.

Hi, in light of the new 2019 models, I was wondering if I would be able to get a good lease on the 2018 models. May I have the MF, RV and any clear out incentives on the tech package, and the tech plus accurawatch package, for Honolulu, Hawaii 96817. Thank you in advance.

Thank you again. Does Acura have a 36/10K, 12K program as well? If so, what would be the change in figures?
