Looks like all the promos and incentives have stayed the same from Volvo. Hopefully the MF and RV stayed the same or got a little better.

When I build a T6 on Volvo’s website I see $6250 in offers ($3750 Volvo allowance and $2500 Lease Bonus Dealer Cash) and then another one without an amount that says “Program offered from VCFS for well qualified customers based on FICO”. Is that the extra $1000 lease bonus? Here’s a screen shot:

Ok guys, closing in on a deal in NY. This is where I’m at. Please let me know if I have any more room to negotiate. I don’t mind the monthly but if I can get the OOP down another $1000 that would be awesome. I’ve contacted the other local dealers and they’ve asked me to send over the offer and they’re gonna try and beat it. Do you think that’s the best course of action at this point? They all seem pretty anxious to make a deal so I figured putting them against each other could only help

    T6 Momentum AWD 39mo/12k
    MSRP- $61,145
    Sales Price- $50,275.53
    RV- 54% ($33,018.30)
    MF- .00088
    Acq Fee- $995
    Monthly Pay- $559
    Due at signing- $3059

The only number I don’t have is the final cap cost. I know some of the taxes and acquisition fee is def in there.

    Thanks!

PS. Thank you guys very much for all the info. The salesperson’s head nearly exploded when I started asking him about the sales price, MF, RV, etc. I’m sure I will get a better deal thanks to what I learned in these forums.

Yes, getting dealers to compete against each other will only benefit you, in the long run.

What does the $3059 due at signing cover?

All we try to do is level the playing field. Some dealers are better at adapting to more knowledgeable customers, others aren't.

They asked what I’d be comfortable putting down and I said $2500 so I guess they backed it in but then they said it would also be the first payment on top of that which brings it to $3059. I’d assume it’s covering some of the taxes, dmv fees, and first month.

Ask for a specific breakdown - it's an opportunity for the dealer to slip in 'junk' fees.

You really only want to put down the first payment and registration costs, at signing.

Just wanted to leave an update here on where I am with the car.

After emailing all the local dealerships I was able to get the price down from $559 to $527/Mo with the same $3059 OOP. Car has the exact same features and options and MSRP. I didn’t get the full breakdown but I assume they took about $1000 off of the selling price to drop the payment $32/Mo.

I also found a dealer who has a T6 Inscription without any of the extra packages/options that I don’t care about so the MSRP is very similar to the Momentum I looked at (like $60,500). They quoted me $549/Mo with $2500 OOP so about a $900 discount from the original offer. I’m leaning towards this car since I’d rather have the nicer seats and styling than the convenience package. The only downside is it has the Amber seats and if I’m going with the Inscription I’d prefer the Maroon brown interior. I checked every dealer in the tri-state area and none of them have that color without a bunch of options added on which brings the MSRP up to $63-67k which will bring the monthly above $600.

Heres where I'm thinking of going next: the original dealer has the exact colors I want in the Inscription with the convenience package (MSRP $63,500). I’m gonna let them know what I received from the other dealer and see what they’re willing to do on their price for that car. If it’s $15-20 more per month it’s worth it for me to get the colors I want plus the convenience package. If it’s $50+ more then I guess I’ll stick with the Amber.

Seems like if a dealer was able to get to $528/Mo on a $61,145 msrp Momentum there’s at least a shot they might be able to get a $63k Inscription in the $560-570 range since the residual is lower but the money factor is almost 1/2. What are your guys thoughts? Doesn’t hurt to ask right?

Also, when I was projecting monthly payments prior to going to the dealers I was shooting for an 8% discount off of MSRP before rebates. By my calculations, the dealer that offered me $528/Mo basically gave me about 7.5% off. If I can get the same % off of the Inscription I’d be looking at a payment of about $565/Mo with $2500 OOP. I’d be very happy with that.

I know you guys dont track pricing, but in general, if a dealer can go 7.5% off on one trim does it usually mean they can do the same on another trim or are the 2 completely disconnected?

    Thanks as always!

Hard to say what a dealer is willing to discount on any given trim level. I suppose it depends on how much inventory they have, how close they are to hitting any sort of volume bonuses, and other criteria we may know nothing about.

Deal is finalized. Was able to get the original dealer down to $575/Mo with the same $2500 OOP for the color I wanted and the convenience package. Not too bad considering the first time I walked in and asked for a price on that car the dealer came back at $729!! Here are the final numbers:

    T6 Inscription AWD
Crystal white metallic w/ Maroon Brown
    Convenience package
    spoiler
    heated steering wheel

    39 months/12k Miles
    MSRP: $63,535
    Sales Price: $59,100 (7% off)
    Rebates: $6750
    Acq Fee: $995
    RV: 52% ($33,043)
    MF: .00047
    Monthly Price: $575/mo
OOP: $2500 (taxes and 1st month, all other fees are in the final Cap Cost which I don’t have)

I should be picking it up next week once I finish getting my current lease inspected and turned back in. Thanks for all the help!

What is the current MF & Residiual on the S90 for 24/30/36 at both 10k & 12k? Trying to find the sweet spot between a T5 Mom & T6 Mom/Insc.

    Thanks

The T6 Momentum seems to have the best program.
    12K/yr.
.00088 MF and 64%/60%/56%/54% residual for 24/30/36/39 months
    $5750 Volvo Allowance
    $1000 Lease Bonus
    Add 1% for 10K/yr
Are these terms for the West Coast (Southern California)? Is a 7.5K-mile lease a 2% bump to the residual?

So I just got an email from one of the dealers I had contacted originally. They are in NJ (I’m in NY) and they came back with this offer:

    S90 T6 AWD Inscription
    Crystal White/ Maroon Brown
    Integrated tailpipes
    heated steering wheel
    Bowers & Wilkins Sound System
    Convenience package

    MSRP $66,515
    Selling $55,024
    - A-Plan Rebate

    $2,580 out of pocket
    $536 a month for 39 months 12k Miles

That’s a car with a $3000 higher msrp (B+W speakers) for $40 less per month than my previous best offer. It seems too good to be true. I didn’t think my job qualified for A Plan but apparently I do. She set me up with an account and a PIN already. She’s sending me over the purchase agreement so I can make sure there’s nothing sketchy going on. I thought maybe they were hiding some extra OOP money like taxes/1st Mo/DMV but she confirmed that price is all-in. Last thing I need is to drive all the way to NJ and find out it’s [non-permissible content removed].

I’m gonna Post the purchase agreement here once I get it to make sure I’m not missing anything. Is there anything in particular I should be looking for? I’m obviously very happy with that offer but also skeptical. Typically if it sounds too good to be true it usually is.

plegra97, this quote I received for 2018 T6 Inscription but without B+W in MD, they were able to offer $19K off MSRP with A-Plan, however, then they quoted ridiculous payment above $600 when my math showed $449/month for 30/12K with DMV and first monthly payment due. They marked up money factor, acquisition fee, then added some garbage fees.

Were you able to get it all straightened out? She’s quoting me a monthly price and based on that number it seems like her MF must be pretty close to base. To be honest, if she gives me that price with those terms I don’t care if she’s charging me extra fees.

All i I know is if I drive 2 hours to NJ to get jerked around there’s gonna be a problem.

  • plegra97plegra97 Member Posts: 31
So you never got the car? She just sent me some numbers and everything seems to check out:

    MSRP: $66,515
    MF: .00047
    RV: 52%
    Net Cap: $53,884
    Depreciation: $494.80
    Finance Fee: $41.58
    Monthly: $536.38

when I run my numbers I get the same payment almost to the penny. All I’m paying is $2500 which basically covers my taxes and 1st month and a few bucks towards dmv.
