Please post your 2017 questions into the 2017 S90 thread.

My apologies - you are correct regarding the lease bonus.

The numbers are very regional this month, and I was looking at the wrong region.

    Hi everyone.

    I'm looking at a 2018 T6 S90 Momentum with A-Plan in New York.

    Does this look reasonable?

    - 19" alloys
    - Heated steering wheel
    - Convenience pkg
    - Metallic paint
    - Protection Package
    - Trunk spoiler

    $61,145 Vehicle Price
    $51,399 Lease #
    $3,000 Less A Plan
    $48,399

    $12,750 off list
    $550 sign and drive 39 months 12k a year

What is the Residual and MF?
Does this sound reasonable with the current January incentives plus A-Plan?

    Thank you

    .00088 MF and 54% residual
    $3750 Volvo Allowance
    $2500 lease bonus

Need about $3100 of additional charges to get to $550/mo.

    Tax
    Acquisition fee
    DMV/dealer fees
    1st payment

If that adds up to $3100, then the calculations look about right.

Of course, it would be easier, if you had the adjusted CAP cost.

How does one get the $5002 federal refund cash if you lease? Does the dealer give you the discount and then Vovlo gets the refund later?

Volvo Finance gives you a rebate, used as a CAP cost reduction. That's the "non-cash credit". Volvo Finance gets the federal tax credit.

Thank you for all the help.
Can I please have the 2018 T5 FWD Momentum numbers for Los Angeles for 10K miles / 12k miles / 15k miles for 24/36/39-month terms?
Is the T5 the best in regards to payment? Sometimes the pricey cars may even lease better due to better terms.
    When do these terms expire?
    Thank you

Hey guys, Looking at a T6 Inscription. MSRP is $63545 and hoping to get 8-10% off before the current incentives ($3750+2500). Looking at 36 or 39 months and 12k Miles. Assuming I can get the lease price down to $51k (which seems reasonable from what I’ve read here), what monthly payments am I looking at if I take care of taxes up front? I’m in NY if that matters. Seeing some crazy deals on here (under $500/Mo for a $60k+ car!!) so hoping I can do as well as you guys are doing.

Also, I’ve seen people mention “A-Plan” pricing incentives on here. I work for a big company that does partnerships with different manufactures but not Volvo. I am a Costco member but it appears that promo ended. I’ve also seen some people say they were able to get “A-Plan” through Truecar. Can anyone guide me on how to get signed up? Another $3-4K off the car would be awesome.

Finally, how have those of you that have gotten the S90 enjoying it? Driving it next weekend and I’m hoping I like it since the deals are amazing. I’ve looked at other cars with $10-15k lower MSRP that are leasing well into the $600s with $3-4K due at signing.

    Thanks for any info.

.00047 MF and 53%/52% residual for 36/39 months.

    39/12:
If adding in the $695 acquisition fee for a CAP cost of $51,695, I get $518/mo.

No idea if you can get to $51K, though.

Thanks! Acquisition fee was in the original MSRP but good to know low to mid $500s is where I should be looking. $6250 is coming off for the current standard promos Volvo is offering in my area so I need to get another $6k or so off. From what I’ve seen on these forums that seems doable. Even if not, I’m willing to go up to $550 so I have a little wiggle room.

One more question... I’m on vacation until end of next week so I will be working with Feb promos. I know it’s impossible to know what the future holds but is their any “rule of thumb” for Jan vs Feb promos? I know Jan is pretty bad for dealerships so they’ll probably be desperate to close some sales by the end of the month but I always see “Presidents Day” promos on TV. I’m hoping Costco comes back with the promo they were offering too.

The acquisition fee is charged by the leasing bank. It’s not part of the MSRP, and it’s lease specific.

Maybe I shouldn’t have said MSRP. The dealership I’m going through is charging $995 (seems like SOP for NY dealerships) and when they gave me which I put in the original post.

Are you talking about the lease acquisition fee or the destination fee? Destination fee is part of the MSRP, and a dealer that breaks it out is being disingenious.

Acquisition fee is not added to the MSRP. That’s important, because the residual amount is based on MSRP.

Thank you for clearing that up. You were right, I’d have to add the acquisition fee to the CAP cost. Seems like almost every NY dealer I’ve seen wants to bump that from $695 to $995. I don’t really care that much as long as I end up getting a good deal.

Here’s where I am right now with my negotiation:

    39 months/12k miles
    T6 Inscription

    MSRP: $63,545
    sales price: $58,500
    rebates: $6250
Net Cap: $53,245 (after $995 acquisition fee)
    RV: 52%
    RV: $33,043
    MF: .00047
    Payment: $558.18 (before tax)

I think that’s all correct and I’m cool with that deal with me paying first month, dmv, and taxes up front. Here’s where I’m getting lost... by my calculations that total should be about $2436 before the DMV fees (which I think are only a couple hundred $$). The person I’m dealing with says I’m off by a few hundred $$. I live in NY so I was under the impression that sales tax is based on the total amount of the payments. In this case that would be:

    $558.18 x 39 x 8.625%= $1877.58

Add $558.18 for the first payment and you get $2435.76. Am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks

The rebate is taxed. If you ask them for the tax amount, that's probably where it is.

So I’m paying sales tax on the $6250 in incentives which should be about $540 at 8.625%? I knew you had to pay that on a purchase but didn’t think it applied to a lease. Thanks!

If the incentive is a consumer rebate, you pay tax on it. If it's a Volvo-to-dealer incentive that's passed along, that's no different than a discount, and doesn't affect sales tax.

I think that the two Volvo incentives are one of each. (one dealer, one rebate), so one of them would not be taxed.

Confirmed, however, same happened in the beginning of January. Check A-Plan site later this week.
