You should be able to ask the dealer what selling price they used as part of their lease payment quote.

If they don't want to share that with you, that tells you something about the dealer.

Thank you very much. Interesting, I inquired about 7.5k/year because that's all I drive. Dealer did quote 36/7.5k, but I suppose it's possible that they just quoted me the price for 36/10k and intend to give me fewer miles.

Signed a lease for a 2018 Jeep GC Altitude today with 39/12 for $400 a month. This included everything NJ taxes, tags and fees. The only money I had to put down was for the negative equity on my old car that I financed ($2,600) and 1st month payment ($400). Not sure if this is a good deal or was only because of a special Black Friday special but I just wanted to share for reference for you guys looking to pull a trigger on a lease.

It's not realistic to expect to be below $400/mo. for a vehicle that has a $40K+ MSRP.

Hi, I have been shoppijg for an 18 Overland 4x4 with active safety package. Looking to lease for 36/12 with 0 down. The best price I got is 1% off invoice with my employer discount+ 1250 rebate + another 1k off from dealer. And the monthly payment based on this is in the range of $600 includes fees and tax(.53 RV and .00003 MF). Does this sound like a good deal? Why did the dealer say Leasing doesn’t qualify the 2k rebate advertized on Jeep website?

What is the MSRP?
What is the adjusted cap cost?
What state and tax rate?

The $2000 incentive is likely valid only for purchases, not a lease.

Hello, thank you in advance for the great info! I'm looking to lease a 2018 Grand Cherokee preferably with heated seats and auto start. Am I way off base to start negotiations at $345 per month for 36 months with 12 k miles per year? I'm willing to put down somewhere around $1500. I would be bringing a 2015 Cherokee lease back 7 months early. The payments on that vehicle are $239 per month. I wasn't happy with the first dealer I went to so I started emailing other but haven't gotten much of a response. Thanks again
