That's it. You don't get the federal rebate, as you aren't buying the car - the bank is.

If you finance with BMWFS, they should waive your disposition fee on the current lease.

Does the MF or Residuals change if the dealer is offering to lease me a 2018 X5 that was previously a loaner vehicle with ~3500 miles?

He is telling me that for all intents and purposes it is treated the same as a new car, only difference is the price is about 5k-6k lower than MSRP.

Any thoughts on leasing a "new" X5 w/3500 miles? I know that the warranties and such start from in-service date so those would be somewhat shorter in this case, but anything else I should know?

The MF and base residual are the same, but the residual is adjusted down .25/mile.

But, you make up for that with a bigger discount - for brand new, we suggest you target 7% off MSRP. For a loaner or demo vehicle, 12-15% off MSRP is our recommendation.

So I spoke to a dealer who said the MF was raised for about 24 hours and now it's back to .00166. I also read the same thing in a Bimmerfest chat. Have you heard the same thing? Not sure if the MF will change next month though.

@sender1 - I was at dealer today in CT and he told me July MF was rolled back to June numbers as of Friday morning.

zero. i ordered a 2018 540i last July when the MF was .00158 or something like that. up to that point it had been going up every few months in addition to killing off security deposits a few months prior to that. we are now looking to add a 2019 X5 and had been monitoring the money factor since last fall, it has been going up gradually.

also, while BMW's money factor is higher than before, it is still significantly lower than Audi, Toyota and even Chevy. all of those are hovering north of .00200, at least on the models we were interested in (S5 sportback, Sequoia, Land Cruiser, Tahoe). can't speak for their entire line ups.

considering how generous most BMW dealerships are with deal discounts, BMW is still the best deal in town. BMW of Brooklyn gave me a $6000 discount on top of the $2000 factory rebates on a custom ordered 2018 5 series before the model was even in the showroom. Audi was giving me $0

It actually started out at .00187, but that reverted back yesterday to .00166.

Anything more than that is an attempt to pad the deal.
