Looking for right Velar Lease price.
Got this quote from the dealer - Model - Velar R-dynamic SE,  Location- Dallas, TX, MSRP $66,325, 36 MO lease, residual - 54%, MF-0.00180, lease- $1187.60, no money down, only paying tax.
Please let me know your thoughts on this and suggestions on how to negotiate.
I usually have been able to get tax credits when buying Benz, how do I get this from Range Rover dealer.
If I plan to do 39MO or 42MO lease, what should I be paying.
Also, if you can give me the above for an MSRP of $62,325 (another configuration), I would greatly appreciate it.

If this is 36/10, .00080 MF and 54% residual
Looks like they are marking up the money factor by a massive amount.
39/10 would be .00090 MF and 54% residual, which would be a lower payment.

Leasing banks giving tax credits seems to be random. Maybe, once they've accumulated enough of them? Not sure you can do anything about that.

This is a terrible lease deal. You are paying full MSRP (at least), and they are marking up the money factor enough to add $100/mo. on top of it. I'm not even sure how they are getting up to $1187.
You could buy this car for $1187/mo.

If you pay full price, then add on $5250 for tax, acquisition and DMV fees, then I get $1187/mo, but that's with tax included, not paid upfront.

39/10, paying full price, adding the $5250 for tax/fees, with base MF of .00090 and 54% residual only results in
$1013/mo, and I would never pay that much to lease a $66K vehicle.

Subtract about $60/mo. for the lower MSRP.

Find another Land Rover dealer, or pick a different make. These are stupid prices.

Thank you. This was very helpful. I knew that something was not right. Last time I leased a ML350 for 52 months and paid only 500 per month for an MSRP of 54k. So this definitely looked odd. Will talk to another dealer.
The $1013 that you arrived at includes tax, right? In other words zero  payment upfront, right? Thank you again.

Yes

Land Rover dealers are not known for being open to negotiations. They think their product is precious, and they have little geographic competition from other LR dealers.

It's best to have alternative make/model options.

December program comes out on Friday. Hopefully, we see it within a few days after that.

The numbers for November are more expensive than Sept/Oct. I believe 33/10 in those months was .00001 MF and 58% residual.

Are the December numbers typically more favorable for customers? I need to make a choice of accepting the November numbers which are worse or waiting for the December numbers.

Do you know of any incentives at this time?

Wow - a dealer who doesn't mark up the MF!

But - zero discount from sticker? LR dealers are allergic to discounting, apparently.

I agree with the RV and MF quoted.

39 months is the sweet spot, this month.

I'm within a couple dollars of that lease quote.

Why lease that long? You'll be out of warranty, and you'll likely have to replace some consumable items like tires and brakes.

These are not cheap to lease, under any circumstances. The tiny discount from sticker makes it worse.

Thanks for the information! I ended up getting a Velar P380 S for 893/month (39/10) including 8.5% tax rolled into the payments (MSRP of 70,600) and just paid the 1st month payment plus $400 for title/registration/doc fee at signing

Trim: R-Dynamic HSE 2.0 liter 4 cylindr 247 HP turbocharged gas

I did a build/order that should arrive next week:

Base = $67,600
Configured Options = $6000
Total (including delivery and destination) = $74,595

I'm coming out of a Jag lease into this product. Jag lease was 36/12K, Tier 1 credit.

I'm debating length of lease this time. I'm completing 39/12, 42/12 and is it even worth it or feasible to look at 48/12? I would contemplate a 15K if there was nominal difference. My Jag lease ended with me about 11K under. However, I was traveling a lot for work.

I don't do cap reductions, only drive costs. I'm looking for your expertise on the lease "sweet spot" here.

The best term is 39 months.
39/12: .00004 MF and 50% residual

While residuals are good for longer terms, the money factor skyrockets.

15K/yr reduces the residual by 2%. So, that's $1500/39 = $38.50/mo.+tax.

If you need 15K/yr, then by all means, contract for that amount.
