Or, it was bumped up to $750.....

Generally, loyalty is consistent regardless of lease or purchase, to my knowledge.

Checked with the dealer(s): in the event it helps others, the lease loyalty is $750 and the purchase loyalty is $500. Also, for June Mazda still has the 0% financing or $1,000 cashback (I hadn’t scrolled down far enough on the Mazda’s website when I first posted my question, it’s listed on their website.

The deal seems decent.

If you want a lower price, it's easier to just negotiate the purchase price, rather than argue about the $799 fee.

The best time to buy (or lease) is when you need a car. Very difficult to time the market.
