She stops my explanation of a feature and tells me that I'm very attractive and that's distracting her. I nod. It's becoming quite obvious that I need to get back to the dealership.

Booo... BOOOO... BOOO MOOO!!!! We could have had a Penthouse Forum moment here moo... and you... blew it. You put your relationship with your wife, and your position at your dealership, ahead of the reading pleasure of all the guys (maybe gals) here at Edmunds. Tsk Tsk Tsk. Maybe next time finish your story with one of those "non-integrity moments" (i.e lie) you're famous for... just for fun. ;)

Here's what I'll do. I'll post an alternative ending as well. (which will probably be deleted promptly) That way, you can choose your own adventure. High or low road.

    Anyone interested in that?

Heck, just go to my carspace link title and you can watch all of them there. Look under videos. They are hilarious. My favorite one is the one where he says "Help, help, somebody call the police. This guy is trying to steal a car!"

I don't know about that. I did a three year tour as an instructor at my last command and also volunteered to tutor kids at my son's high school for which I received a VOY (Volunteer of the year 1996) for my work. Some of the kids were a pain in the rear but my teacher kept them in check. I also applied for ROTC and got accepted but the position was out of state and the Mrs. didn't want to move. I then went for the "Troops to teachers" program at Old Dominion and was 18 credits away from getting my degree in Educational Technology but then I had to go to work to make a living and that's where I left off.
I have a lot of respect for school teachers after having spent a year as a volunteer and walking in their shoes.

First day back at work ,i am wearing all my goldnugget plus my white shoes and belt to celebrate!!! :shades:

    anywho heres the story.

I had gone to the wall in f&i to see what deals have been hanging around and notice one from the first week of january.I open up the deal and look at the callback sheet, the bank wants wife for income or i have to unwind this mooch.

I call the closer in and ask him why he has not brought the mooch in to unwind or to recontract with his eyecandy as a co-x.The closer tells me he has tried to call but has only reached a answering machine.I tell the closer to get them in or he is on the hiway to dehorse them.

The closer comes back and tells me the mooch will be in with his mattress cushion to sign or unwind at 3 p.m.

3 p.m. mooch pulls in with a duece and a quarter on his arm and my closer rolls them in to the box for the chinese water torture treatment.

Closer comes to the tower laughing his behind off, tells me mooch and mrs kfc family bucket think they can drop off the new widget and go buy a yoda widget now that they are out of the grease on the beater they traded to us because they think the wreck is paid off( order taker at yoda store told them they could do this).

Closer informs these educated people that the trade loan is not paid off until we cash our contract and if they want they can have the trade back and the 8 k worth of water that comes with it unless they recontract with supervalue meal as co-x.

Mooch and Miss Piggy sign and burn gas within 10 minutes!

Where do these People come from?

    Ha!

It may very well have turned into that. They left without giving me any information. If I wanted to, I could certainly do a little digging and find out some more information. I have her driver's license and insurance. Frankly, I'm not interested. ;)

I don't think she graduated from med school. She was too cute with a little too little rattling around in her bean counter.

You're welcome to her though! :P

Oh, good grief. I grow weary in my old age of worrying about what group gets offended in this country. You know that I respect our military personnel who protect us. I can't help it if teaching public school children is not their best talent. I don't mind being told that I don't know a damn thing about being a paratrooper like Joel. Neither do I know a machine gun from a pistol. It's probably better that I don't. I would accidently shoot myself or an innocent person. :(

Joel asked how many ex-military couldn't cut it---20, 50, or 100. Based on the feelings of school personnel people around the country, it would be too many.

Mack said that he did volunteer work with high school students and got along fine. That is not the same as being in charge of 30-90 students each day for eight hours. Even he admitted that the teacher took care of the rest. Also, being a training commander meant that you had a captive audience.

Allow me to apologize to all of you who have served our country. I'm sure that many of you would be great teachers in the right situation. In my career, I was known as "The Diplomat". I may as well not change now.

To keep this post honest, teachers drive what the kids don't want. ;)

I can see where you may have had some problems with ex-military in the past. It is hard to adjust from a life where you had two speeds, fast and faster, and that you and the peoples lives around you depended on being able to react with out thinking and getting instant results.

I told them here at work a few days ago that if they would have hired me before I mellowed out I would have lasted about a week because I would have either cussed out or knocked out about the third smart [non-permissible content removed] customer I talked to.

The military is very cut and dry. If I out rank you then you do what I say with out question. If you question me I will make your life a living hell. There is no grey area. You show up every day at the proper time, at the proper place, in the proper uniform and do as you are told.
  • benzserviceguybenzserviceguy Member Posts: 96
Nah .. I might work for Benz, BUT we drive an 07 350Z (6 speed), an
06 IS 250 (6 speed), my daughter has an 06 Acura RSX (5 speed)
and I USED to drive a 3 series rag top (yup, 5 speed)

So, I might work for the German's, but I drive Japanese & will soon have an MB in the garage

I am working on leasing two vehicles for my company and the lease has all the sales tax upfront. It looks like the tax is calculated on the total price of the car.
If i use a lease calculator and pay the sales tax monthly, the payment is lower.

Is it required by the law in VA for the sales tax to be paid up front? Is that a negoiable item?

Jescue, we've got an '07 XK-R coupe on the lot that was traded in with 990 miles on it. Original MSRP was $90,875. Guess how much we're asking for it?

Wow, I think we may have overpaid for our vehicle. That or $78,900 is asking for lots of profit!

There maybe a little bit of both there.

It's way too slow around here today. I've had two ups and one is 7k buried on her trade that they don't want to do anything until they close on a refi on thier home.
My appointment for today canceled. Her husband felt so bad that he came in and apologized to the GSM for not following through with the deal while I was on the phone with her. Seems like they are helping the daughter refi her home also. Lot's of that going around now. :(

Is there any manufacture who has stopped producing 2008 models yet? I was told the other day that the car I was looking at couldn't be ordered because they had stopped making the 2008 model and were only producing 2009's. This was the justification for doing a dealer trade.

Do you think they were pulling my leg? I don't have a problem with a trade but I've never heard of a regular production car switching over to the next model year in January. I thought they usually stopped production of the current model around May.

I know it can happen when they want to rush a new style to market but the car in question is unchanged from 2008 to 2009.

Should I put you down for a deposit on a GT-R

ABSOLUTELY, but you need to meet the following conditions:

    1) NO ADM
    2) No mop & glow
    3) I want tripple net on the price
    4) I want the buy rate - NO bump
    5) I will put NO $$ down - not even drive off
6 I want my payments to be $500 per month INCLUDING TAX
    7) I want free ALL INCLUSIVE (ala BMW) service for the life of the lease
    8) I want a 350Z loaner when I leave the car for service
    9) I want the store to pay my gas for the life of the lease

GP, IF you meet those conditions, I promise:
    1) NOT to be a grinder
    2) A PERFECT 100% CSI survey

Oh, and by the way, the car MUST have 3 pedals on the floor or the deal is OFF.

    When can I EXPECT delivery???

Don't worry I have PERFECT 460 credit!!! :shades:

Toyota is producing 09 Corolla and Matrix and 09 Camry for delivery mid February. Actually the first 09 Matrix should be in our showroom next week. We have those three 09 models on allocation. I have no idea why Toyota has been doing these waaaay tooo eaaarly introductions on some cars.

    "who and what are you"

You're at the end of a very long line of people who have been asking that question for nearly seven decades. As of this posting, the question has yet to be answered. :D :P

I will give you a very small hint to part of the answer: Capitalize your first "w" and put a question mark at the end of your sentence. ;)

    How's your geography teach? :confuse:

Hint. He doesn't stay up late. He lives where it's late for east coast posters. That's why it's easy for him to keep an eye on early morning eastern posters. Now don't get the wise idea of posting at wake up time on the east coast to get by him because they have another guy manning the ship at that time too. :(
