    NYC/NJ area, 39 month lease 12k per year on a 2018 Giulia TI sport AWD. MSRP 49,490, cap reductions (incentives) 4750. Dealer agreed to gross cap cost of 42,870.83 prior to incentives.  

    Fee taxes etc 2331.65 DOD and 469 per month.  

    My my first lease, any good??? Thanks

    sales tax (this was supposed to be upfront)- 1622.58 
    cap reduction 4750
    net cap costs 39743.41

    DOD 2331.65
    that is;

    Sls tax upfront 518.65
    1st year fees 250

    other upfront 1094 

    truly, I have no idea what the other upfront is. Thoughts?

    Keep asking questions until you understand, and agree with, the answers. It's OK to play dumb in situations like this.

    The upfront sales tax is likely the tax on items paid upfront (CAP reduction, acquisition fee).
    The other sales tax on the payments is added to the CAP, technically, but it's being paid out of the rebate, so it's effectively the same as being paid upfront.

    Other upfront is acquisition fee, and guessing the dealer is in NJ? Then, also a dealer fee.

    We show $3750 incentive
    But, there could be $500 of conquest/loyalty (no details)

    Wouldn't surprise me if your local dealer had more incentives to throw at it. They aren't exactly flying off the lots. Can't speak to what others have posted for incentives.

    Are these cars/2018's possible to get for under $400 with nothing down? I hate putting money down.

    You guys are too early. Saturday's numbers will still be November. New number should be coming Monday, possibly Tuesday. 

    How to ensure you get the best deal? Don't "walk in" at all. Search online inventories and start working several dealers via email.

    You can make sure you get the best deal by NOT walking in at all. When you find out the December numbers, look through the inventories of all the Alfa dealers within a reasonable distance asking for their best lease offer on a particular stock number you picked out.

    I have tried this, I didn't like their offer but still love the car. What can I do to get them to bring it down?

    Is anyone having any luck with dealers budging on '18 Stelvio or Giulia prices? Seems that other than the manufacturer incentives (2750), it would be better to lease the '19's, with a higher residual and similar sticker prices than the 18's. Our current dealer has 29 Stelvio and 8 Giulia ('18's) and they are treating them as if they just showed up on the lot. 10-15% off the msrp (the lease gold standard), seems like a pipe dream. Negotiations have stopped around 3-5% off msrp and they are treating the incentives as their cash and part of the discount. It's been pretty frustrating.

    Same, they are treating them like gold. It's an 18, do you want the sale or not?
