Young 20-something and first-time leaser here in Ohio. Starting to feel like I may not have gotten a very good deal. Went alone and was too trusting. Could you please review and let me know your thoughts? Just signed on a 2018 Discovery Sport HSE 237hp. Add-ons were climate control pack, 19" black design pack with contrast roof, Driver assist plus pack with InTouch control, audio upgrade package, ebony morzine headliner, incontrol apps and blind spot monitor & reverse traffic detection. There was a bunch of random stuff in the truck (wheel protection & chrome locks, car care kit, premium interior protection/storage pack which I didn't realize added on almost another $1k to MSRP. Total MSRP with destination & delivery was 50,147. Did a 39 month, 39k mile (12k/year, 1k/month) lease, cap cost was $47,932, plus $895 acquisition fee, $943.28 rent charge, $2195 for tire and wheel coverage, $1965 sales tax, $250 doc service fee, $72.50 title and registration, $20 cap cost reduction tax. I paid $3500 at signing (which included $2547 down payment (cap reduction from my own cash), $610 first month payment, $250 doc, $72.50 title and $20 tax). 55% residual. Monthly payment is $610. It's .30 cents for miles over 12k (which is was only $100 away from the MSRP cutoff to go down to .15cents but they said there was nothing they could do). There's also a $495 fee to turn it in at the end if I don't get another one. Thoughts?

Well.. the extras that were part of the MSRP are not a big deal, as they are residualized, if they are on the sticker.
$2195 for tire/wheel coverage is a lot for an insurance policy, that's only good for three years. I've had entire vehicles that I can insure for that amount, for three years.

Looks like they have added a big markup to the money factor, as well.
At least, it looks like you got a big discount from MSRP.

It's a learning experience.

Thank you for reviewing! I'm guessing there's nothing that can be done regarding the MF markup at this point, right? Is there someplace where I can also confirm rebates? I was told there's a $2k discovery sport rebate through July 2, but it wasn't given to me.

I don't have the rebate information for Land Rover.
It's possible that it isn't valid with the lease program.

Could you please help the RV and MF for the scenario of 36months and 39months (I guess the RV/MF is worse with 24months?), 10k/12k/15k, for both SE and HSE? I searched on True Car it seems there is $2000 "2018 Land Rover Discovery Sport Retail Allowance Credit" expires 10/1/2018, so this is the cash to be taken off from the capitalized cost? That's correct.

Without going back and checking, it's normal for residuals to decrease, as the model year passes.
