If I remember correctly, Mazda allows dealers to mark up the money factor from 0.00001 to 0.00051. Which is happening to me even with top credit. That's $25 a month I shouldn't have to pay. Just makes this process take longer to shop dealers.

    2018 Mazda CX 5 - AWD - Touring Premium Package - RV 0.00001 & MF 60%

36 months/10k miles for an invoice price of $28,506 with 60% RV + MF 0.0001.

Trade in my car for $10,500 in finance status (Pay off $9,200 left) leaves me with $1,300 to use as a down payment. Taxes and fees came up to $2250.

Monthly payment $298.61. So, all I have to pay to take the car today was the first payment of $298.61.

I'm not sure if this is a good deal or the dealer is trying to rip me off and I hate that. Please advice, much appreciated.
    Thanks a lot!

    Hi,
Can I get the mf, residuals, and rebates for a 2018 Mazda CX-5 AWD Sport and Touring for 24/36 month and 12 K miles in 11720 (NY)?

How does this deal sound in zip 60162:

    CX-5 Sport AWD
    MSRP: $26,645
After Lease Cash and Discount: $24,030
    MF: .00001
    Residual: 60%
    $0 Down

    239/MO @ 36 MO/10 - taxes and fees excluded

    Taxes: 1008
    Title and License: 413

Taxes seem off by around $300, no?  Currently leasing a CX-5 so customer loyalty is $750, correct?

Thank you michael. Do you recommend paying acquisition upfront or roll it into payment. Also are there any current non Mazda customer incentives for the cx5 awd touring for lease? I only see current Mazda customer incentives

In NY, better to roll the acquisition fee into the payment, and pay the sales tax upfront. The acquisition fee gets taxed once, either way, but if you roll taxes into the payment, you are paying tax on the tax.

$360 customer lease cash in your area.

When you get those quotes, just tell them you won't take a deal with a marked up money factor.

    Taxes = $900
    Acq.fee = $595
    DMV/doc: = $300

What is the other $450 in the $2250? Is this NY or NJ?

So, it's $1600 upfront at signing ($1300 equity + $298 out of pocket)?

The Sport residual is 58%, not 60%
    $1420 lease cash

Yes.. $750 loyalty, if currently in a Mazda Credit lease.
Taxes do seem high. Ask them to itemize.

Can i get the numbers and any incentives for a Touring AWD with preferred package 36/15k in zip code 11767.

Been quoting a few dealers and best i got so far is that “he can beat $340 a month” that another dealer quoted me. Everything rolled in, just paying first month and DMV fees. Think i can any lower than that? Thank for the info you all provide!

How does mazda customer $ 360 lease cash work? Is this a manufacturer to customer rebate or manufacture to dealer rebate? Basically do they have to give me this rebate or is it dealer optional?

    .00001 MF and 57% residual
    $360 customer lease cash

    That is a non-quote. Doesn't mean anything.

Help. Frustrated. This is not my first rodeo either. We're told to negotiate the sale price then the lease. I've done this for the past several leases in our family. This time around for a CX5 GT AWD I get the selling price I'm looking for, then I ask about lease numbers, and from multiple dealers I hear "Oh, the price we gave you is not our lease price." Further, I'll go to a dealer site and see the price of a $33,515 CX5 is discounted to $32,000, plus another $500 "that's good on purchase or lease." There aren't little asterisks anywhere, either. Is this legal? If I punch up numbers for a $31,500 lease in 68528 I'm getting $25-40 below what's being quoted by dealers (and yes I'm including acquisition in my calculator).

Roubaud . I feel you buddy. In the end, they don’t need to sell to you but you don’t need to buy from them either. I feel we as a customer have the most power because we can walk away. I’ve done many leases, and I find the Mazda CX-5 lease numbers to be ridiculously good. 60 percent residual and .00001 mf. I have looked at Honda CR-V to Ford Escape to Chevy equinox and I can’t get near what I get in the Mazda due to higher msrp for leather and residual of 50 percent or mf of Honda at over 5 percent! To me, 20 dollars a month ain’t going to break a deal. But if it is to you then your best weaPon is knowledge and patience

We show $1000 customer cash + $500 dealer cash, but that's on purchase only, not valid with the lease.

I'm running into the same issue. I believe they are advertising the sale price with regards to purchase cash offers that isn't applicable to leases.

That's pretty common, as the lease incentives are usually factory to dealer. The dealer isn't obligated to pass along all - or even any - of that incentive to the customer.

But, since you know about it (from us!), you can bake that incentive into the price you offer to the dealer. You don't have to worry that you've left money on the table.

The customer support lease cash of $1420 on the CX-5 sport AWD was set to expire on July 2.  Has that been extended to July 5 alongside the  4th of July sale as well or are is the 1420 still expiring July 2?  Zip code: 60162

    Thanks!

This.  I actually just leased a CX-5 grand touring, fwd, base model in soul red parchmant interior for $327 per month, zero down, and drive off of $414 which included first month payment.  But getting there was BRUTAL.  I contacted 15 different dealers around me and all but 3 refused to give me quotes.  I got all kinds of excuses, like FACTA doesnt allow us to provide (not true), we have a company policy that doesnt allow us because people were taking it to our competitors (duh, so what), i did give you the quote (no you gave me a lease number, i see no selling price, adjusted cap cost, money factor, down payment or drive off).  I ended up driving an hour to get the deal i got but only because it was literally the only dealer who was upfront and straight to the quote.  I actually made the deal entirely through email and headed down on a friday, dealer had it detailed and ready for me, i walked in spent 30 minutes looking at the car and confirming everything looked good, signed the papers (no sudden shifting or surprises thank goodness),, small attempt to offer me maintenance / add ons but zero pressue, and i was out of there in an hour.

still it shouldnt be this hard.  It was 2 weeks of misery.

Very interesting experience today with a Mazda Dealership. Have spent several days negotiating and got the Cap Cost of a 2018 CX5 Grand Touring down to $27,000
Went into the dealership and when they found out I was going to lease they refused to honor
    the negotiated cap cost.
Has anyone had this experience? Can they renege on the negotiated cap?
Their argument was they negotiated that because they believed I would be financing and not intact leasing

    Any thoughts?

Great cap cost btw. I'm in the process of negotiating for a GT as well. Did you get the cap cost that low due to incentives that only applied to financing/purchasing?

This is why we recommend folks be up front about the fact that they are leasing - to avoid these kinds of issues.

In your recommendation, should I look to pull the trigger today on the offers I've received so that I could take advantage of the $1420 Customer Support Lease Cash expiring today or wait to see what the offers are tomorrow?

Hi there. Reposting this as suggested since the new numbers are due to be posted today. Thanks so much for your help!

Seeking July MF, Residual, & Incentives for 10583 please.

2018 CX-5 Grand Touring AWD 36 month lease/10K miles per year

If this would impact the number, I'm looking at the following options:
    1) as listed above
    2) as listed above plus premium package
    3) as listed above with premium package and rear parking sensors.

    Thank you!!

Thank you. So that is .59 residual and .00001 for 10583? I don't think I've seen June numbers for my area but that was the most common combo I saw listed on this forum for other areas.

I am up in the air about whether to lease or buy 2018 CX 5  Sport/Touring/GT

Can you tell me what the RV/MF/current incentives are in 19015?

I have an eplan with set price and asked to see the numbers for leasing and financing and the dealer said they would need to know which one "because the bank needs to know and can't do both numbers side by side". The salesperson seemed to be steering me toward leasing-could this be how they will make the most money on the deal with set price 4% below MSRP.

New to leasing and wondering if MF is dependent on credit rating or does the dealer choose?

I was quoted "roughly 335/345" for either lease or buy
I was expecting a payment of around 250/275 and was surprised by that quote for 36/15 $0 down and selling price of $27,645 not including taxes and tags  $360 cash and $500 loyalty (no specific MF or RV given when I asked)

Trade in value for my 2014 Mazda 6 was also a lot less than KBB/Edmonds so if I trade I would be left with about $2000 in negative equity due to a previous accident that will show up on the carfax.  This was not factored into the above numbers because I would not trade it in for what they are offering.

Does this sound reasonable?  I left with a lot to think about but I've learned so much already just from reading the last few pages. Thanks alot
