when i put all the info into the online lease calculator im getting ~$315/mo and i confirmed with them the MF and residual is .0001 and 57%. Sales tax is 8.625%. How accurate are the lease calculators? Thats a big difference. I feel like I’m being lied to about something.
Ask for the adjusted CAP cost, and an itemization. I doubt you are being lied to, but I'll bet you don't have all of the information.

MSRP $30,065
Incentives -$1,957
Asking price $28,108
Taxes for IL are 8.75%
What is the MF and residual as of 07/27?
And how much should I negotiate to have my monthly payments? And do I have to make a down payment?
Thanks!
And, because you live in Chicago, you'll get to pay city sales tax, as well - another 8-9% on the monthly payment.
You can structure the lease any way you'd like - we recommend you pay the first payment and any registration costs up front, and add all the fees and taxes into the payment.

The incentives are mentioned on their website, I am unsure if it applies for lease though, have yet to contact dealer.
I'll take your advice on first payment.
Thank you!

Are you sure their discount is incentives? Or, just a discount?
Do you live in the city of Chicago?

this is the initial offer I received from a Maryland dealer. Still waiting on lease specifics I asked for. Needs some work.
This is for a 2018 cx5 touring with preferred.
I am looking to purchase 2018 CX-5 Touring, AWD with Preferred Equipment Package. 60 months financial
The best price I received is OTD $30,500 for White color.
MSRP 27,515 (Discount approx. $1,810)
Total with color, package, destination is 27,827.
How is this price? Should I ask for another discount? I am at Long Island Area, NY
Thank you.
The numbers on the right look like a purchase quote - no mention of the $595 acquisition fee, anywhere.
36/12 for Touring FWD is .00001 and 59%
I show no lease incentives for that trim
Have them provide the numbers they are using for the lease quote on the left, then we can examine the deal more closely.

Is $364/mo. with $0 due at signing?
Or is it first payment + fees + taxes, etc, etc?
If it's just $364/mo, that's a really good deal, assuming your car is worth $17K.
But, eating $2500 on your car makes it a bad deal, no matter how you slice it.
The one good thing about trading in, is you save on sales tax, in a full tax state.

GT:

Cap: 27980 (2500 dealer discount + 360 rebate)
RV: 58.9% - 18195
MF: .00051
$344.76/mo OTD and $595 drive off
T with PP:
MRSP 28610
Cap: 26530 (1700 dealer discount + 360 rebate)
RV: 58.9% - 16868
MF: .00051
$341.76/mo OTD and $500 drive off
Wasn't even looking at the GT but for only $3 more a month. Thoughts?
First time leaser here but been doing my reading (at least trying to ramp up as best I can). I'd love hear why my calcs (based on this forum but probably overlooking something) don't match up with an offer I have for a 2018 CX5 Touring w/ PP (36m/15k):
What specifically am I overlooking or do I need to ask the dealer for? Appreciate y'all lending a hand to a newbie. I'm in CO just in case.
I get your dealer's payment exactly with a MF of .00051 and 7.5% sales tax. That's my guess for the difference. Mazda dealers are allowed to markup the .00001 MF to .00051, but you are allowed to negotiate that back down to .00001.
(not sure where you are getting 58.9%)
$360 customer lease cash
The money factor is marked up.
That adds $32/mo.+tax to the payment

The math isn’t making sense to me. Even if I discount the price 900 since I only really owe 18,6 on my loan, I’m getting a payment of 314.
Here is the dealers reaponse: Rebates are different for a lease compared to standard financing. Monthly factor is .00001. RV is 59%. Acquisition fee is $595 and included in total. Anything over $17K for your car takes it to Excellent which is Showroon grade and only 3% of trades get that.

That's because you still don't have the actual numbers for a lease.
"Acquisition fee is $595 and included in total"
Yes, it's included in the lease payment, but it's not in the numbers in the right hand column. You aren't working with all of the numbers.

I am looking to lease a 2018 CX-5 Grand Touring AWD in 07030. Term: 36mo/12k.
Dealer offer: $309/36mo. when I put $1309 down (1000+first months payment)
MSRP:31995
MF: .00001
Residual: .60
Negotiated Price: 29709
Taxes and Fees: 1068
1) What do you think?
2) I see my net/adjusted capital cost as 29468 and therefore my depreciation is 10271 (29468 - residual value of 19197). The residual split out over the remaining 35 months = $293.46... I can't figure out what I am missing / why the dealer has 309/month. We are both building tax into the monthly payment.
Thanks in advance to anyone who has some input!
