The lease payment would be about $370 with no money down on a 4 year lease. I am certain they offered it with 12k (if not 15k) annual mileage allowance. On a 2018 GTI S

I have taken to the dealer 3 times for a buzzing noise that is related to stop start feature. it only works half the time and I am being told the buzz is normal. It also started to develop a stink. I lived through harvey, my car was not totalled out. I just don't want to deal with it. For 2k I get piece of mind.

Would you say its a good deal or would you recommend negotiating some more?

What is the MSRP, and adjusted cap cost associated with the dealer quote?

If you've taken the Escape to the dealer three times for the same issue, and they haven't been able to resolve it, you may qualify for a lemon law buy back, or other compensation.

That's $440.34/mo, if you are just financing the sale price.

To get $501.25 per month, the amount financed would have to be $28,669.
That's $3500 over the sale price. Tax is about $2400 at 9.5%.
$1100 more seems like a lot for DMV/doc fees.

i Questioned the 3M protection too, the guy showed me their ads tht this was included and cannot remove, and my payment remained the same so I didn’t go any further. 
Just hoping tht deal wasn’t bad...

This seems high and I am trying to figure out why.

That's about $600 off.... are you rolling in the first payment? Or, DMV/dealer fees?

Without the money factor markup, the payment would be about $17/mo. lower

Ask them for the adjusted CAP cost. It's obviously different from the sale price, or.. the money factor is even higher than what they've provided.

Assuming the "cap cost" is just the selling price, add the two fees in, and I get $457/mo.

Was shopping around for GTI SE 2018 AT. Dealer quoted me 5k down $400 per month for 36/10k. MSRP is 32k on the car. Am I wrong to assume this offer was absurd?

Dealers love to swing for the fences on the first offer. Sometimes they hit it out of the park; sometimes they swing and miss.

How quickly do residuals degrade over say a month for this car? A percent, 2 percent? I'm looking to try and lease during MDW hoping that there will be some good sales as the RV is still decent

It's impossible to say.. the residual could be static for three months, then drop 2%/3% in one month.

Or, it could drop by 1%, every other month...

Or, none of the above.

Do you live in NY? NY restricts the doc fee to $75. Adding an Admin Fee is something we are just starting to see.. Looks like a way to get around the doc fee cap.

I get $425/mo. with an Adjusted CAP of $31,535. So, pretty close.
I'd ask them to kill that admin fee, or lower the price by $600 to make up for it. That's ridiculous.

How about for the Autobahn? I get a $37,100 MSRP with $2,000 off. 36 mo./10k miles. Dealer's offering $489/mo. with $0 down and $3,500 in fees and taxes (they were $3,107 for the SE). Thanks again!
