RV tends to drop as the year progresses, but MF could go down as well, and lease cash could increase

VW lease programs haven't changed.

48 month lease residuals are just 7% lower, but money factors are .00050 higher.

The most likely cost increase in a 48 month lease isn't from warranty issues, but from having to replace consumables, like tires and brakes. Also, the longer a lease, the more likely that your needs might change during the lease term.

Those that lease for 15K/yr have already been out of warranty on many leases.

Approximately how much off the MSRP should I attempt to negotiate beyond the dealer offered $3000?

This is a finance question. VW has 0.9% finance for 60 months on 2018 GTI models. Can this offer be combined with other discounts like Truecar? Dealer is telling me no.

We don't have any insight into a dealer's relationship with sales lead generators, like TrueCar.

If the dealer doesn't want to honor their price quote, there isn't much you can do about it.
