Hello! Question about leasing loaners. I understand that we are supposed to DEDUCT $0.25 per mile on the loaner from the residual value, but doesn't that INCREASE the payment? Seems odd that buyer is "penalized" for buying a car with a few thousand miles on it. Yes, a car at end of lease with higher mileage will have a lower residual value. I guess I'm asking for your thoughts on this.

Also, what is MF and residual for 2018 X2, 12k/year, 36 months in California? Thank you!

You should negotiate a bigger discount from sticker to account for the existing miles, and offset the lower residual.

For new cars, we suggest a target of 7% off MSRP; for loaners, 12-15% off MSRP.
