The point of a broker is to avoid the protracted back-and-forth with the dealer (or multiple dealers). If you enjoy negotiating every last penny, then a broker may leave you unsatisfied.

Should I expect a bait and switch or rebates being pulled? The dealer is nearly 3 hours each way.

Usually, "retail" denotes a purchase incentive, not a lease incentive.

I don't know the sales tax trade-in rules for Illinois.

I wouldn't drive 3 hours on an internet rep's understanding. Ask them to screenshot you the deal from the F&I manager's computer.

It seems "retail consumer cash" isn't applicable for a lease, but "retail bonus cash" can be applied which was just gathered by rigorous Google searches, with little actual fact to back it up.

Regardless, I'm waiting for a response before I proceed since I'm out of town through the weekend anyways.
$369 for 24/30 on a $54K truck is still extremely enticing (without the $4500 extra) ... decisions decisions.

I'd suggest you check with multiple dealers to see if the "retail bonus cash" is applicable.
