Hi, folks. Looking for the October MF, RV, and incentives/lease cash for the 4x4 Laramie Crew Cab in zip 20147. 36/12 and 24/12. Dumb question...what is the difference between "incentives" and "lease cash?"
.00028 MF and 64% residual .00047 MF and 57% residual
Total Cash of $1250 includes: $1250 2019 Lease Cash (GL-MA-NE) exp. 10/31/2018
36 month term at 12,000 miles per year payment: $645 per month with $0 down not including sales tax
Net Cap Cost is $59,730
Dealer is telling me the following: "I did not mark up the rate on this deal, I have other banks with lower money factors but the payments are higher due to lower rebates and different residuals. I can use Chrysler cap and yes the money factor is lower but you loose $4000 in rebates so the payment is higher than what I quoted you. The Chrysler cap lease rate is subvented, they do not give the low subvented rate and extra rebate together."
Seems to me the Chrysler Capital offer would still provide a better deal, as I show a monthly payment of roughly $597 with the rebate reduced to $1,250 and money factor decreased to .000470. Hoping you can help me make sense of this one.

I notice that anytime I ask for lease numbers from ANY jeep/Chrysler/dodge dealer, they are ALWAYS quoting other banks besides the Chrysler numbers. They think that the incentives the other banks offer will make consumers jump to sign, but the rates are not good. The dealers dont want to use the Chrysler numbers because it means they have to come up with a bigger dealer discount in order to make the sale. As soon as you mention that you want the Chrysler numbers, they hesitate. Thats been my experience in the tri-state area.
Appreciate the feedback on your experience. Very helpful. Unless I'm missing something, it seems to me running the calcs through LeaseHackr that the total cost of the lease using the dealer's numbers (.0016 MF and $5,250) incentives ends up with a total lease cost that is about $800 more and a monthly payment that is $20+/mth more than Chrysler's numbers (MF .00047 and $1,250 incentive)...unless I'm missing something. With Chrysler, I show a monthly payment of roughly $597/month...$619 with the scenario the dealer is outlining.

How can the NET CAP be higher than the sale price, if you have $5250 in rebates? Ah.... MD tax? Ouch.
But, that can't be the correct adjusted CAP. If it were, the payment would be $773/mo.

I ran the numbers again with what I think is the correct adjusted cap cost, and I get a monthly payment of $619/mth with the alternate bank scenario, and $628/month with the Chrysler Capital terms. Is there any underlying benefit of going with Chrysler Capital, despite the higher cost?

Chrysler Capital may be more generous with damage, at lease end, since they'd like you back as a repeat customer.

Yes, sir. Thoughts on them? Salesman was easy going and no pressure after the test drive. Complete opposite of Autonation Toyota where I wasted some time last week.
Seems that the price offered is not valid with the Chrysler Capital lease program. You'll notice there are $4700 of additions to the selling price you gave me for the calculation?

I'm personally not a big fan of AutoNation.
Yes, I was bait and switched pretty bad by their finance department. Ended up walking away. They also tried to tell me some towns 'collect a little bit of sales tax up front' on a lease.

Which is true. I've learned more about Douglas County sales taxes than I ever wanted to when I moved from "incorporated" Parker to "unincorporated" Parker. Town of Parker does collect their lease sales tax up front.

$47255 compared to what number? $48505? $50785? $51929?
I think it's pretty obvious the advertised price was never going to happen. The only thing that matters are actual quotes.

Interesting. Did not know that was a thing. I ended up leasing from an auto broker (easiest transaction I've ever had, albeit with less bargaining room) who didn't charge any upfront tax.
