Slightly off topic. I saw a few pages back someone mention buying out the lease after 3 payments. Everything I have found says paying off your lease to purchase early is a bad idea. Is there any savings in interest or something else with AFS if you make your payoff early vs making 36 payments and then the payoff?

It is for people that wanted to buy/finance the car in the first place. Acura is not offering much in the way of incentives for purchasing, so people are "leasing" to use those large lease incentives to get a lower selling price.

You then buy it out early because the money factor is equal to 5.4% APR and if you have good a enough credit rating, you should be able to get a better rate at your credit union for a used car/car refinance loan.

I am looking to lease an 2019 Acura TLX A-Spec Tech. The car is a CPO loaner car and has ~4k miles. What would the residual on that be? The asking price for the car if that matters if 32,500.

Edit: You can ignore the part about the CPO loan and asking price of 32.5k. The residual is what the car is worth after 3 years of use and 30k miles (If I'm understanding it correctly)

Edit 2: I believe this the answer I will receive. "00215 and 50% $9100 incentives" If so what does the 9100 incentives mean? I only see a $500 Student Discount an 750 Military

The first statement is accurate. Make the security deposit and take the lower rate.

I don't know if the 2nd statement is accurate, but if so, then it's .00225 minus .00080.

My previous lease had some damage to it... negotiated for them to take care of it. Receipt is from a quote (super inflated) I got from a local shop. They took care of it.

I leased 2.4L A-Spec with Technology package. Onepay for $11,772, including tax, title, dealer fees etc. 10K miles/Year, 36 months. I believe the residual was 50%, Money Factor 0.00145 - Like the car a lot. Technology is a bit outdated, but the drive is impeccable and comfortable.
