The lease on my wife’s X3 ends in August. I plan to order an X3 next week because of the huge discounting. In order to hedge my bets, I applied for financing today before month’s end in the unlikely event that the program this month is better than next month.

What is considered “ huge discounting”?

I'd say 10-15% off sticker, before incentives.

More if it is a dealer demo or service loaner.

So are people getting up to 15% off MSRP on cars they order or does it have to be in stock at dealer?

Dealers will always be willing to discount more on a car in stock.

Can't speak to special order discounting.

There is a ton of trunk money (invisible to us) that they must have because some of the deals have been very good. People have mentioned 15% before incentives but I think it is pushing it. People have posted deals in excess of 10% or more off MSRP BEFORE incentives. These deals only apply to 2019s and the end of production (EOP) is very near. You are going to have to find a dealer who has an allocation for an 2019 that hasn't been built yet right away. I overheared one dealer telling someone on Saturday that BMW stopped making the 2019s. Another dealer told me that is not true. I will find out in the next few days since I plan to order one.

An update to my above post. I was able to order a custom 2019 X3 since the dealer had a few remainming allocations. I was able to get in excess of 10% off before incentives. It should be delivered at the end of the month. I will have to turn in her 2017 X3 about 30 days early to transfer the MSDs. While I eat a month's payment on the old lease, my tire tread is near the bare minimum (43,000 miles) and now I don't have to replace all the tires.

2019 X3 xDrive30 - Glacial Silver/blackVernasca leather, convenience, premium & luxury line, driver's assitance package, maual side shades, wirless charging & front venilated seats. ($56,245.00 MSRP) I walked out with the production number.

I wasn't planning on getting the wireless package but I was told that the wirless package comes with enhanced Bluetooth which is not mentioned on the BMW site and there is an extra mic above the passenger seat for calls.

This is my third BMW from Park Ave BMW in NJ and my 4th from the sales manager there (I leased my F10 when he was at another dealer)

We ordered our car in June and will actually sign all the paperwork this month for Performance Center Delivery in late July. If the incentives increase when they are released in July, do they apply to us? If so, how do I make sure I receive them from the dealer?

If you didn't get that choice in writing when negotiating your price, you are at the dealer's mercy. I'd call and ask your CA that question, now.

22201 is zip. Yes, I'm aware they're different but I had read on this forum $2000 lease credit plus $1500 loyalty for the month of June. So I'm wondering if loyalty is 1500 or 750. The link says: $0 security deposit and suggested dealer contribution of $1,816 and $2,000 Lease Credit, $750 Loyalty/ Conquest Certificate)

I do have one reccomendation for all of those who are leasing. Download a lease app on your phone. I negotiate my leases based on the sales price only. The residual is known and I always find out through our mods the lowest money factor. It's just data entry from that point if you have the tax rate, DMW fees, etc.

I have used one for my last four leases. When I ordered the X3 for my wife yesterday, I was not coming up with the same monthly payment as the dealer. I entered everyting including luxury tax here in NJ and even the $8.00 tire fee that the dealer charged. I found that my DMW fee was off and I was able to modify it on my phone at the dealer. I was still off the number that the dealer had. We went back and forth and trying to figure out the problem and after ten minutes we found out that the dealer's system had marked up the money factor. The dealer changed the money factor and then our numbers were only off by less than $1.00 a month and then I signed the contract.

I use one called leasematic but I think any lease app should work. Always check the dealer's numbers.

And now my last two cents. I stronging recommend the following options on the X3:

    1) Surround View w/ 3D View - You will never hit another curb again or scratch a rim
    2) Driver's Assistance Package for safety
    3) The Executive Package. Yes, it has a lot of things that you don't need but it has "Adaptive Full LED Lights" and the IIHS gave the X3 a Top Safety Pick Plus only with the Driver's Assistance package and the adaptive LEDs

    https://www.iihs.org/ratings/vehicle/bmw/x3-4-door-suv/2019

And that folks is why I had to order my wife's 2019 X3 yesterday since most dealers don't have the above options in inventory and I am told that most people don't care about them. I was lucky that the dealer gave me the same discount that it would have given me on a X3 inventory to a custom build on one of its few last 2019 X3 allocations. I forgot to mention that I ordered the Executive package in my earlier post.

I left the dealer around 5 yesterday with a production number and I can now track the build online today.

    MSRP 53,495
    Net Sales Price: 44780
    Tax 2070
    doc fees and others 1430
    36m/10k with 7 MSD
    MF:0.00165
    Monthly payment 582

Is this a good deal? what about one pay lease (could decrease MF)? which is better, thanks.

Another car MSRP 52585, total prices with tax and tag 46208 if I finance? Which you think is better, lease or finance. thanks.

Your money factor should be .0013 wih the MSD, .00165 is the rate BEFORE MSDs

It looks like you getting around 10% off MSRP before discounts. You may be able to do better. You didn't tell us if you are putting anything down besides MSDs.

You should have a "sales price" on both cars before any incentives - it doesn't matter if it is a lease or purchase.

Why are the taxes up front?

$0 downpayment. I am not sure about your saying "sales price", are you talking about the MRSP minus. thanks the rebates? Or OTD price? Both dealers ask for upfront. I didn't figure out how they calculate the tax

    I get the same payment.

Can't tell you if you should wait, but I'd expect the lease deals on the 2020 to be not as good.

If you don't need a car now, then I'd wait.

I am getting the follow lease quote from a local dealer. X3 with convenience package, nav system and auto assistance. I don't qualify for loyalty, just conquest and lease credit. Where did he get the $5,070 number? Is this deal any good?

    MSRP $50,335
Selling Price $44,000 (12.6% off MSRP)
    MF .00165
    Residual .59
    Rebate $2,750
    Govt Fees $310.50
    Taxes $1,344
    Doc Fee $599
    Total Initial Payment $5,070.11 - Rebate $2,750 = $2,320.11

    Monthly $484.76

What ZIP code is this for?

You'll have to ask the dealer what the breakdown is for the $5070.

They are using the base MF, which is a good sign.
