An update to my above post. I was able to order a custom 2019 X3 since the dealer had a few remainming allocations. I was able to get in excess of 10% off before incentives. It should be delivered at the end of the month. I will have to turn in her 2017 X3 about 30 days early to transfer the MSDs. While I eat a month's payment on the old lease, my tire tread is near the bare minimum (43,000 miles) and now I don't have to replace all the tires.

2019 X3 xDrive30 - Glacial Silver/blackVernasca leather, convenience, premium & luxury line, driver's assitance package, maual side shades, wirless charging & front venilated seats. ($56,245.00 MSRP) I walked out with the production number.

I wasn't planning on getting the wireless package but I was told that the wirless package comes with enhanced Bluetooth which is not mentioned on the BMW site and there is an extra mic above the passenger seat for calls.

This is my third BMW from Park Ave BMW in NJ and my 4th from the sales manager there (I leased my F10 when he was at another dealer)

    Congrats!
    Thanks!

Could you please share the sales agent contact information with me? I am looking for an X3, and the MD and PA dealerships are pushing me so I hope to find somewhere else. Do you have any idea what might be the incentives after next Monday? Thank you!

I believe that it is against Edmund’s policy to list an individual sales person in a post so I will send you a private message. No one knows what incentives there will
    be.

Thank you Michaell. I stand corrected. Here is the contact info: Mike Smeraglia, the Sales Manager at Park Ave BMW in Maywood, NJ.

Why there is a lull in posting between programs, I just want to remind everyone that BMW is still having its Ultimate Driving Experience events around the country. If you register and go, you will get a OL code for a $1,000 credit that can be used during for the lease or purchase of most 2019 models (X3 included) but will probably should change to the 2019 and 2020 models during the late summer/fall events. There is also a trick to the code, BMW kicks in $500 and “participating” dealers kick in the other $500. Some dealers may refuse to kick in the other $500. Here is the link:

    https://ude.bmwusa.com/

I would suggest that you not tell the dealer that you have the code until after you have an acceptable quote.

Also, remember to join BMWCCA as per the requirements below to get an additional $500 back which will be sent directly to you by BMW 4-6 weeks after you lease or buy an X3. The dealer is not involved in the rebate

“A membership requirement may be met in one of two ways:
A membership of one year or more immediately preceding the delivery date of the vehicle is required to take advantage of this program. A member in good standing cannot have any lapse in membership during that 12-month period.
A non-refundable membership of three or more years purchased on or before the purchase date of the vehicle may immediately qualify a member to apply for a rebate.”

    Hi there,

Looking for MF and residual on an X3 xDrive with luxury package minimum. 10k per year/3 year term lease. Zip is 19808.

    Thanks!

Hi, can you please provide details on X3 xdrive 36/10, 11235. Thanks

Do packages or potions add anything to the residual?

Also is the MF and Residual national or regional? Thanks.

I'll leave it to the mods to give you the residual and MF. The residual does not change based on packages or equipment, it is based on the models. I know that Lexus used to do that (and still may) but BMW doesn't on the X3.

I have a question to kyfdx or Michaell. I know some incentives may change based on the region but isn't the monthly money factor rate and residual percentage set nationally?
  • kyykyy Member Posts: 7
I noticed from the BMW website that the residual is 57% now if my calculation is correct.

It is my understanding that the MF dropped to .00145 (good) but the residual also went down a point (bad) from last month but I would wait until the mods confirm same. I applied these numbers to the X3 I ordered last month and there is less than a $1.00 savings per month on my lease. Now I might be able to afford a Costco membership!

A higher MSRP will result in a higher residual amount, but it doesn't change the residual percentage.

I received a below offer for X3 36/10 with 1st month and transfer plate out of pocket. Dealer is quoting me $529 per month. I'm having 2 issues,

1 - how do i confirm the tax on this? I'm in NY but I can't get to the $2k that he provided me.
2 - by using the Edmunds formula I get to pre-tax of 464, add the $2000k tax payment and I get to $519 per month.

Can you guys confirm how much the monthly payment should be? Thanks!

    MSRP: 50,885
    Sell Price: $45,298
    Residual: $29,513.30 (58%)
    MF: .0011 (after MSD reduction)
    Rebate: $3500
    NY DMV Transfer: $150 (approximate)
    NY Taxes: $2000.74
    BMW Bank Fee: $925
    Dealer Doc Fee: $599.85

    Rent Charges 3,804

Upfront Cost was 1500 and Incentives 2750, which he used the capital cost reduction.

NY taxes the sum of the monthly payments, the incentives, any money up front and the fees.

What cap cost did you use in your calculations?
What cap cost did the dealer use to get their payment?
How much money up front are you giving the dealer?

I thought the dealer doc fee was capped at $75 in NY; is this a NY dealer, or one in NJ or CT?

    Residual: $29,513.30 (58%)
    MF: .0011 (after MSD reduction)
    Rebate: $3500
    NY DMV Transfer: $150 (approximate)
    NY Taxes: $2000.74
    BMW Bank Fee: $925
    Dealer Doc Fee: $599.85

NY taxes the sum of the monthly payments, the incentives, any money up front and the fees.

What cap cost did you use in your calculations?
What cap cost did the dealer use to get their payment?
How much money up front are you giving the dealer?

I thought the dealer doc fee was capped at $75 in NY; is this a NY dealer, or one in NJ or CT?
I used $43,323 (selling price + Bank fee + doc fee - rebate).
Not sure what he used, i can go back and ask but i would assume it's the same as mine.
0 upfront, only paying 1st month and $150 transfer plates

I'm using a NJ dealer to take advantage of the MSD

I received a below offer for X3 36/10 with 1st month and transfer plate out of pocket. Dealer is quoting me $529 per month. I'm having 2 issues,

1 - how do i confirm the tax on this? I'm in NY but I can't get to the $2k that he provided me.
2 - by using the Edmunds formula I get to pre-tax of 464, add the $2000k tax payment and I get to $519 per month.

Can you guys confirm how much the monthly payment should be? Thanks!

It can't be the same, else you'd both get the same payment.

Could be a small bump in the MF, too.

That's not a bad deal, with so little upfront (excluding the MSD monies, of course)

Based on the MF it seems to agree with BMW. I'm doing 7 MSD so that get's me back to 0.00145 if i exclude them. I can't get back to the tax, NY is 0.08875. I get a payment of 464 pre-tax which includes the $3,500 rebate. Tax on monthly payment is $1,482, any idea where he gets the $518 difference?

    The rebate is taxable.

Ask the dealer for the adjusted CAP cost.
They also have a document that shows how they calculated NY tax.

Once you have the actual numbers, all should become clear.

No, the residual has to be correct, or the contract will be rejected.

You'll have to ask about #6, but it's possible that it has been mis-labeled, and should be "Cash CAP Reduction tax".
