I'm, just giving my first month's payment only with a small MSD roll over balance. You are not missing anything, on one hand you are reducing your out of pocket loss if the car is stolen or totaled, on the other hand you are paying interest on the payments rolled in.

$2000 lease credit, $1500 loyalty on 2019s. Each MSD brings the MF down by 0.00005 now, not 0.00007. So base MF will be 0.0011 with 7 MSDs (0.00145-0.00035)

$2000 lease credit, $1500 loyalty on 2019s. Each MSD brings the MF down by 0.00005 now, not 0.00007. So base MF will be 0.0011 with 7 MSDs (0.00145-0.00035)

Dealer is not obligated to use MSDs; has nothing to do with Ohio.

If the postcard came from the dealer, I'll guess it's a combination of dealer discount and loyalty and lease credit. But, be wary.

BMW gives you 2K lease credit and 1.5 loyalty. The dealer is kicking in $150.00?

People are getting in excess of 10% off before the discounts.

MSDs are tricky. BMW had them and then took them away. Then they bought it back only if you had roll over MSDs and it was first regional. Then they expanded the program but watered down the discount/

Expand your search to dealers within 50-100 miles. Look at the dealer's inventory online. If you find something that you like, send the dealer an email. If they tell you that they won't give you a price unless you come in, go to another dealer. I am going on my 6th BMW lease just in the last ten years. There is a dealer in Bloomfield, NJ that refused to give me any quotes unless I came in. That response alone eliminated that dealer on all of my deals.

I usually don't mention MSDs until I have an acceptable deal and make sure that the dealer is not marking up the money factor.

yah, ive got about 6 dealerships within a 60 mile radius from me. im trying to get 13-15% off msrp before incentives. so far not much luck. but i can be patient. ive gotten offers from 7-10% off so far. im hoping one of them will need to make a goal or need to get rid of inventory and offer me the discount i want.

i have 7 MSDs on my current lease that i'd like to roll over but im not holding my breath.

i got another postcard saying because i made my payments on time i qualified for ending my lease early without penalty. i assumed that was just marketing bs but i do want to end early... ever heard of that?

One more piece of my worthless advice. Don't take delivery on a raining day and make sure that you examine it inside the dealership and outside in the sun. Bring a second set of eyes with you.

After we took delivery of my wife's X3 in 2016, my wife saw a very small "bubble" in the windshield and the windshield had to be replaced. We had no problem with BMW since it was evident that it was defect in the middle of the glass.

Jump forward to last year when I took delivery of my 540. and guess what? My wife found a small scratch on the windshield. Just my luck! This time I decided not to have it replaced. I was able to work out an IOU with the dealer for a replacement anytime during my lease term. I figured that I could live with it knowing that I could get one free windshield replacement if it gets cracked from a stone later.

Do dealers typically offer to take over your current lease early? My current lease ends in October and I've been on the look out for pull ahead programs offered by BMW but it looks like they haven't offered that in awhile. Wanted to get into a 2019 before inventory starts dwindling down as I assume pricing on 2019 would be cheaper than 2020.

We don't have any information on a pull ahead program from BMW.

I, too, would assume a better deal on a 2019 than a brand new 2020. And, I agree with you than inventory will be lighter at that time.

ive gotten postcards offering me to end my lease early with no penalty, however, i think they set how much discount you get off MSRP so that's not negotiable. my lease ends in november but im almost at my mileage, so im going to end early and lose out on $1k. oh well.
