Generally, we recommend 15% off MSRP for loaners, but 600 miles isn't all that many. Start at 15% off, before incentives, and see what the dealer says.

I wouldn't lease with a marked up MF.

Tell them you'll find another dealer if you don't get the base rate.

@kyfdx - I thought the net cap cost as selling price plus taxes fees minus rebate, trade-in and down payment? How should I calculate adjusted cap cost? I didn't see that in the dealer quote. Why 5k down? Id prefer to put down 2500 but I want to lower my monthly payment. Given this, what do you think of the quote? Is it reasonable? Thx for your help

You are correct on how it's calculated. Do you have the number?
Of course, tax is levied on the payment in California, so not part of the CAP, unless it's upfront tax on CAP reduction.

What is your sales tax rate?

The Adjusted cap cost wasn't onn the dealer quote but based on the breakdown of his numbers, I'd calculate it as 35392.85.My zip is 94105 so the tax rate is 8.5%.

We are kind of guessing, without the actual number. You'll have upfront sales tax on CAP reduction, as well, and that could be substantial, given the rebate the amount of money upfront.

Before you subtract CAP reduction, you have to allocate first payment, DMV, doc fee and $925 acquisition fee, then calculate the upfront CAP reduction tax, and then subtract what's left over, out of the $7500, to get the adjusted CAP.

9% off MSRP plus $2500 in rebates seems like a decent deal.

i've heard despite lease u can still negotiate vehicle price...and u should never give a down payment in case of a total loss. anything u can advise greatly appreciated! tk u
