Trying to price out lease vs purchase. With no deals currently on the lease for the new Jetta prices seem outrageous ? Getting quotes over $300 a month? Seems like a fully loaded Passat would be cheaper ?

If I am leasing 2019 SEL premium. 36 months /15k miles with 500 down what should I expect to pay ? Mrsp is $28115. Negotiated down to $25900 a couple days ago. When I use MF .0012 and residual value of 60% (I think that’s right for premium with 15k miles) I get a cost In florida of $305 tax in. I’m new at calculating things on my own? Did I get it right , is there anyway it should be cheaper than my calculations ? ? Is that what I should aim for ? Still on the fence for purchase vs lease or if it’s not a great value leasing a Tiguan instead but I prefer the better mileage and smaller Jetta.

.00120 MF and 59% residual. That's $310/mo.+tax, using your MSRP and sale price. That's assuming all other fees/charges are paid upfront.

So I just did the deal... I paid $1000 out of pocket total. No other fees, taxes etc for premium with 15k miles 349 tax in. For 48 months 

Good deal?

so you paid $1000 driveoff + 47 additional payments of 349? that's 17403 total lease cost

sell price 25900; i am guessing there is a HUGE doc fee not disclosed yet (typical Florida BS)

Be glad the new VW warranty is 6 years and 72k miles so this may be a decent deal...

I think residual was 58-59%. Straight off the VW sheet at the dealer. 
1100 in “ fees “. 1700 fees including first month , tag, service Charges etc.

349 tax in with only 1000 out of pocket. Seems like a good deal.

Since it's a done deal, i won't comment on the "goodness" of the deal.
