I don't show an HSE trim in V8

But, that won't affect finance rates, anyway.

We don't show any special finance rates for the full-size Range Rover. We don't know LRF standard rate, but I would expect it to be in the neighborhood of 6% APR.

Quick question. I haven’t leased a Range Rover since 1997. At this time of year am I better to wait for 2020 RR or is there enough incentive on a 2019 to make it worth getting it? Do the residual go down towards the end of the year? My Escalade lease ends in 2 months. Thanks in advance for your help!! John

Shop in 2 months, when your lease is up.

We might have a better idea of 2019 vs. 2020 deals, at that time. A lot can happen in 60 days.

FWIW, I see no lease incentives on any full size RR trim, this month.

Is $101,822 the MSRP or the selling price?
Whichever it is, what is the other number?

Lojack and Ibex are just garbage to increase the dealer's profit margin. It's a leased car. If it's stolen, you don't want it back, unless you left your child in the back seat.

If I add $4500 for sales tax (est), and subtract the $400 CAP reduction, that leaves an adjusted CAP of $105,922

With the base MF of .00110, $1409/mo
With .00229 MF, $1608.

I'm estimating tax, so some of those numbers could be off, obviously.

My point would be: Focus more on that money factor than the $1600 of garbage. That $1600 is $45/mo, while the money factor markup adds $200/mo.

Yes, the base money factor is definitely .00110

The marked up money factor adds $7200 to your deal.

Hi, so KFYDX helped me yesterday to realize that the deal being offered me on a 2019 TD6 HSE Range Rover in Zip Code 10538 had too high a money factor (and BS Lojack/Ibex fees). The dealer removed the Lojack/Ibex fees, and came down from what I think was a .00250 money factor and has, what I think, offered me a .00144 money factor. Did I do my calculations right?

MSRP = $104,822
Selling price = $101,822

Miles: 10,000 year
Lease term: 36 months

Residual amount: $61,844.98

He has 6,500 cash down listed, which appears to include $895 acquisition fee, first month lease payment, $3715 in NY taxes paid upfront and some yet-to-be explained "upfront charges" of $1,412.00 )

TD6? It's a diesel? That isn't the model you asked for originally.
If it's the diesel, the base MF is .00093, not .00110.
Otherwise, the lease program is the same.

Upfront money:
$3715 tax
$895 acq.fee
$1372 1st payment
= $5982.
That's only $518 short of the $6500, not $1412 short. In NY, registration and dealer doc fee add up to approx $300, so not far off.

.00144 MF and 59% residual
$104822 MSRP
$101822 selling price
= $1346 payment.
That is a little short of $1372

If it is a Diesel, the MF markup adds about $83/mo. to the payment.

I agree, this deal is exponentially better than the last quote.

Yes, I'm 99% sure! I also got the dealer to pay 1/2 of my final month lease payment for my current car (which amounts to another $275), so long as I pick up/pay for the car tomorrow. I also received 2 other quotes today from local dealers, one for $500+ more per month (!!) and another that was about the same price per month and same mileage on a similarly priced vehicle, but only for 33 months. (But It's a demo that has 1000 miles). I am working on the assumption that a 36 month deal is better for me than a 33-month deal. I don't know who you are but you are amazing and I thank you so much!

Given the small discount on Range Rovers, the 33 month term could be slightly better, but not by much. You could ask your dealer to run it on 33 months, and see if you save any money.
