I see a $350 Disposition Fee......I have my lease through BMW Financial Services...will they automatically waive the disposition fee since I am getting another lease?

When I do my calculations on this i am getting $719.64/ month using sale price of $58,967 ....is that what I should be paying? The quote is $738.73 OR AM I CALCULATING WRONG? how much money over is still considered a good deal? Should I be expecting to pay exactly the amount in the calculation or is that not the real world?

When I plugged those numbers into my calculator, I got a higher payment.

I'd review every line item and calculation on that worksheet.

The only two variables in a lease calculation is the CAP cost and the MF. Confirm the numbers the dealer is using in their quote. The math is the math.

The Cap cost I am using when I arrive at $719.64 is the Sale Price minus 1,500 (rebate as cap reduction) $58,967 - 1,500 = 57,467

    Sale Price: 58,967
    Adjusted Cap Cost: 57,467
    MSRP: 64,4450
    59% Residual
    MF: .00188

Am I correct in subtracting the 1,500 in this example or does the "rebate as cap reduction" on the due at signing sheet not apply to the Cap Cost?

    I get $719.64, as well.

    Not disclosed on your paperwork:
    1) Selling price
    2) Money factor

Also, re: disposition fee - The disposition fee is collected at lease end. If you currently lease a BMW, the disposition fee on your current lease will be waived. The disposition fee on the new lease? That will depend on what you do at lease end, next time.

I get the same calculated payment
Seems that with 7 MSDs, the money factor would be .00153?
Not a big deal ($1.18/mo), but it seems weird they would mark it up by .00001.

9% off MSRP looks pretty good, assuming that doesn't include a loyalty incentive.

Thanks. I thought the same thing about the money factor, but will make sure we are all good when I sign. I am not sure what incentives it includes... I have been focused on the purchase price more than anything...

Sincere question - should I really care too much about how they got to the purchase price?

In CA, you only want to pay the first payment and DMV costs (about 1.1% of MSRP) up front. Anything else, either add to the payment or keep in your pocket.

Yes, same in WA. You want to minimize your up front cash, as you would lose it if the car is stolen or totaled.

    Gross Capitalized Cost $64,265.07

    Capitalized Cost Reduction $1,612.63

    Adjusted Capitalized Cost $62,652.44

    I agree with the math.

There are only two ways to lower the payment:

    1. Negotiate a lower selling price
    2. Use MSDs to buy down the MF

If I add the $925 acquisition fee, I get about the same payment.
That tells me they aren't marking up the rate.

12.5% off MSRP is pretty strong.
Any chance they are giving you tax credits on the lease?

The amounts in the right-hand column are for purchase. I'd want to see the exact numbers for the lease calculations, but it looks good from here.

Just tell the dealer how you want to structure the deal, and the up front money. You control the conversation, not the dealer.

$2,300 oop - Taxes and tags
My MSD's remain so MF .001635 I believe.

    Good Deal?
Are MSD's worth it now? I was told they're reduced to .00035

    Base MF is .00188
    minus .00035 for MSDs
    = .00153 MF

    What term and mileage?
Do you have the adjusted CAP cost?

Where can I find the official word from BMW that MSD is available nationwide? The dealer here at 98004 insists that MSD is only available for existing MSD, not new ones.

Also, if the car is stolen or totaled, what happens to the MSD?

    Ask them to call BMWFS.
It's also possible they know about it, but don't want to provide MSDs to you.

The program is set up so that you get the MSDs back. But, of course, that doesn't mean your insurance company won't screw things up.

Also no on the tax credits.

Texas taxes the full selling price, even on a lease.

That looks like a pretty good deal, actually.
I am working on getting the discount a little better than 12.5%. Any suggestions on lowering the down payment as well?
Just tell the dealer how you want to structure the deal, and the up front money. You control the conversation, not the dealer.
    Right you are. Thanks
