I got a lease deal on a 2019 GLC Coupe in 90292. MF and residual value were as quoted by the moderators on this thread, and I put $$ down to cover my drive offs and first month payment. I wanted to put down MSDs to reduce my monthly payments even more, but the finance mgr (supposedly a friend of a friend) discouraged it sharply, saying I’d lose it if the car were totaled. My understanding was different, since MSDs don’t reduce cap cost, and I thought gap insurance and my insurance company would pay out car’s value if it were totaled and then MBF would return my MSDs. On this forum, some former lessees of different car makes got their MSDs back after their car was totaled, but there doesn’t seem to be a clear consensus on if Mercedes MSDs are fully refundable. Thoughts?

Everything we've heard is they are refundable. I'd guess if there are any issues, it would be between you and your insurance company, and their understanding of MSDs

Is it 36 mo, 7.5K/yr? If so, I agree with the 56% residual
Your money factor is marked up
You have $499 for "aftermarkets" (is that tint?)
Also, a $499 doc fee (money for nothing)
The acquisition fee is marked up from $795 to $1095.

The $5800 discount seems good, but they are clawing some of that back with inflated fees, and a marked up money factor.

The money factor markup alone is adding $40/mo. to the payment
