That leaves $5500 for dealer discount.

They can markup the money factor for extra profit, though that isn't typical of an Acura dealer.

It might be better to lease with nothing upfront, then use your $35K from the dealer for the trade-in, towards the buyout amount in a few months.

4) Make sure that you won't owe sales tax again on the buyout. Not sure how MD handles that.

One more thing to think about.

The purchase incentive is $5500.. So, the $8800 lease incentive is only an extra $3300. Subtract the acquisition fee, and the advantage drops to $2700.

Still substantial, but if you give up anything else through leasing (like a trade-in credit), then you are getting into the territory of not being worth it.

It came directly from Acura but it has Acura Financial restrictions tied to it. It has a certificate code specific to my 2017 MDX. The coupon is for good for lease or purchase of an untitled 2019 or 2020 and the $1500 is for an MDX or RDX, $1250 for a TLX, or $1000 for an ILX. It must be financed or leased thru Acura Financial.
