I'm in NJ as well .Question for you...what % off of MSRP are you seeing from dealers for a C300 sedan AWD to arrive at your cap cost without the other non-dealer incentives (see below)?? Best I've seen so far is only 5% ..If you dont mind lets share the discounts we get (without naming the dealers which I believe is against the forum rules)

There are a number of non- dealer discounts available that adds to the dealers discount . Here are some examples: member of United Frequent flyer program or have a brokerage account with Morgan Stanley or if you have been a member of the MB Club for at least one year..there are others..some dealers list them on their website

Again all I've been offered is a 5% discount from the dealer-contributed portion.

Hi, dealer wants to add .0003 to the base MF as a 'dealer markup' on a 36/12 C43. Also claims this is how the sales associate gets paid. Is that true?

Also, can you please let me know what the RV and MF are for C43 Sedan, 39/12, in 94110?

When you go to the store, do they add to your total, and then tell you that's how they pay the employees? A car dealer is not a restaurant. If it was, they still wouldn't get anything for a tip, because the service sucks.

Not that it matters, but it's actually the opposite. If they cut the price of the car, but raise the money factor, the F&I guy gets a commission, but the profit on the actual sale price is less and the salesperson gets screwed.

When a car dealer has to start explaining why they are raising your price, the reasons don't matter. Does it make you feel better if the guy sticking a gun in your ribs tells you it's to feed his kids?

Anyway, back to the numbers:

We don't have the 39 month residuals

Tell them you want the base rate. Period.

Hey guys wanted to update. Just signed a deal in ny. This is for a custom 2019 c43 sedan. It will be built and delivered for July so numbers are subject to July program. I have a bmw lease up in July hence why I did it this way. Im in writing for base mf and 795 acq fee.

msrp 60786
price w dealer discount- 56741.80
i will get full rebate on July numbers to lower this price. This month it’s 1k so the price would drop to 55741.80 if those numbers hold up

acq 795.

my due at signing was around 3900 which is tax..acq..first month and fees

i can’t do msd due to living in ny

my monthly based on this months numbers came to 692 and that includes 2 year maintenance plan included. 

In essence when when you add the maintenance plan to the msrp I got a 8 % discount plus rebates from mb financial. I will try to use fleet discount to get bigger discount. Everything look good?

What you save on the loaner is in the form of dealer's price of car. At lease the same MF/RV apply. And you actually get the honor of paying for half the miles on loaner as MBFS only eats half the miles.

If you've gotten the dealer to agree to the base MF when the car arrives in July, I think you've done well.

Then the dealer is reaching into your pocket and trying to extract money from it.

Tell them you won't sign any deal where the MF is marked up from the base rate. No need to tell him what it is, they already know.
