That is an awful big markup to the MF. Tell them you won't sign any deal unless you get the base MF.

I appreciate the feedback. Is the base MF offered typically negotiated to customers with top tier credit, or is that fair game immediately in your view?

I've leased a dozen cars, and I've never paid a markup. That doesn't mean they don't try, and it also doesn't mean I can make a deal at every dealer.

No... you leave it out. The negotiated price is the negotiated price. Use your knowledge of the lease cash to set your target price.

Go see Les at Bommarito Hazelwood. I went to Bomm STP and had correspondence with Dean Team and Suntrup, just go to Bomm Hazelwood. Do it today or wait until the end of the month. None of the other dealers could get below $325 including tax.

What Les, my sales guy told me was that if the dealer sells X amount of cars a month, VW will cut them a big check. So they intentionally sell new cars at a loss towards the end of the month just to get to that number. If they don't hit the number, they don't get the incentive and they are in the red for the month. He told me that Suntrup and the other dealers dont push as many cars, so they never make their VW incentive so their prices never come down as much. It's my first car buying experience, so I can't tell if what he's saying is true or not, but they did hook me up with a deal.

Correct, I paid $0 out of pocket and capitalized the acq fee, admin fee, and registration. VW paid the first month's payment, so I only have 38 payments. No down payment or anything. FIrst payment due 6/29!
