Just to report back, after the first 22 hours and bad experience with the first dealer, I was able to get a second dealer to deal. I sent him an email and laid out my math for a deal and said I would sign today. He called me about 30 minutes later and it took 90 seconds to finalize. He confirmed all my math was spot on but the sales price was a little under what he could do. He admitted I was a few hundred under his true dealer cost. He didn’t mind breaking even but needed something more. It is an SEL AWD with third row, panoramic roof, storage block system, emergency kit, second set of all season mats, and first aid kit. MSRP was 35,269 and final sales price with incentives was 30,369. I got the $1600 lease incentive plus another $500 for EPP program. I ended up using the EPP to pay for most of the lease end protection. It included lifetime oil changes and ding coverage which included tires and wheels. Oil change coverage transfers if I buy the car later. My wife has a tenancy to scrape stationary objects and curbs so it is worth it. I initially declined and then he offered me 25% off so I took that for $599 capitalized in the lease. I could have negotiated more but they were treating me right so I let it go. So it added 15.36/month. My wife’s monthly payment is 386.45 with tax for 12,000 /39 month lease. Drive off was $800 even. Not a huge deal but not bad for a few hours of work and driving off with the car and selling my wife’s 11 year old Dodge Grand Caravan. After the drive-off we walked away with a check for $1,700 for the old car. Because the drive off amount was odd, I had a trade-in, plus the add in of the lease coverage I am not sure how to enter it into the calculator. I did notice there was an extra $400 or so in taxes I can’t explain so I am going to ask them to break it down. But overall happy because the wife was impatient after not getting the car at the first dealer but she loved what I found for her. Happy wife, happy life. Thanks for all the help.
Joseph Volkswagen in Cincinnati. I would highly recommend. Best car buying experience I have ever had. Probably because it was done before I got there but they still handed it all right. We had the kids in tow. There was no paperwork. We signed everything on an interactive screen build into the desktop. Pretty neat! I am going to go back and try the Atlas to replace my Durango. They offered me a 2 day test drive. My sister in law is also interested in the Tiguan. Happy hunting.

The extra money is likely taxes on the incentives and fees.

Actually I realized before I sent the email that Ohio requires up front taxes on the lease payments so it was right.

Hi! Any chance I could get the MF, residual, and any lease incentives on an SEL R Line Black Edition, fwd, in 78045? Either a 36/10, or 39/10? Maybe a 39/12 also? Trying to find the sweet spot for leasing this month! Thanks!

Hi Michael - May I please have MF, Residual, Lease Cash, Loyalty (I currently have an Audi) for the Tiguan SEL R-Line Black AWD for 36/10 & 36/12 in Zip code 11803 (Nassau County NY)
Do you happen to know what the MF and Residual are for a Tiguan SEL Premium and any incentives there may be for a 36-month lease, 12k, and $0 down for zip code 60173.
I was recently quoted. MF = .0006 and Residual of 53% with a negotiated price of 35K.
Can you also provide for 48307? Maybe a better deal if I drive to my parents house. Thank you sir!

Hi Michaell, Located in FL (Zip: 33327) looking at 2019 Tiguan S FWD. Can you please provide me with the MF and the Residual for a 39 months / 7,500 miles? Are there any incentives / rebates / lease cash? Also, how much of a discount from MSRP should I expect when negotiating the sales price? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the quick reply! I just want to confirm, the residual is only 53% on a 7,500 miles? I was under the impression that it would be either 56% or 57% based off the previous replies mentioned above

Total Cash of $2100 includes: $500 Michigan Dealers Tiguan and Atlas Bonus exp. 07/01/2019 $550 VCI Lease Bonus exp. 07/01/2019 $1050 Regional Bonus / Dealer Cash - ZB exp. 07/01/2019
I'm guessing they aren't disclosing the extra $500, as that is a dealer incentive, or it's available only to MI residents.
When you discuss lease cash, is that usually taken off the agreed upon selling price? For instance no the Tiguan SEL AWD, MSRP is 34,090, avg selling price looks to be about 31,300. Does the $31,300 include the lease cash bonus, or would the selling price you would hope to get be closer to $29,700 and do a lease calculation from there? Thank you

Lease cash is a dealer incentive, and will be part of any offer made to you.
Use the knowledge of the incentive to get your best price.
