It's SO important to provide the lease without the tax as it varies so much: in my area it's 9% (UGH!) per month. And some states put the tax up front, or tax the whole "negotiated purchase price".

What would be a "good" payment for a CRX EX AWD Zipcode 13057, 12/36. Currently being offered a zero cash down lease at $346 inclusive of all fees and NYS 8% sales tax. I see that $500 is mentioned as a current incentive in the thread and I believe our dealer mentioned a "conquest" incentive (we're currently Toyota) also, which someone said might be $500. I think the lease should be more like $320, but have also seen the $300, EXL, 36/15K deals mentioned by others. The difference in MF is a relatively minor factor between this month and last.

The "balance" is a straight line addition of the adjusted price plus the line items below it. If I feed the numbers into CarBuyingTips$ spreadsheet I also come out at $336. Based on comments a "good" discount is 10 to 12%. This one is 10.4%, and I assume it includes the $1K in incentives. People rarely get back with actual lease negotiation results, so there's no yardstick for comparison except for some extreme examples. I don't know if we should be asking for 12% + $1K, or if the prior 10 to 12% comments included the incentive discounts that were current at that point in time...

I agree with how the balance is achieved, so we then need to determine why the dealer quote is $10/mo (or $360) higher than that. This is simple math, and there's an explanation for everything.

Honda dealers don't mark up the MF (not even sure if they're allowed to), so the only other variable in the calculation is the adjusted cap cost. If you could get them to share a copy of their lease worksheet that shows the $346/mo, we might be able to sort it out.

Could be a hidden fee of some sort.

No... the $500 dealer incentive is good for cash, 3rd party finance, lease or the special 1.9% APR offer.
