I don't mean to be pedantic, but I would personally wait until the fall/winter as this model is too new and there are no compelling MB incentives. Or I would look at the new X5 as CA dealers now seem to be discounting these. If you're set on moving forward, I would recommend maxing out MSD's to reduce the MF.

Dealer quote is in the ballpark.

Always expensive to be the first on your block with a new model.

As noted, if you can wait, that might help.

Or, use MSDs to buy down the MF.

The deal they wrote up assumes we would only pay the net trade up front as we hadn’t discussed with them putting any more down - it was our understanding that it’s not advisable to put a lot down because it’s not your equity. Wanted to make sure they weren’t inflating the money factor on us or not losing the trade somewhere. I asked for the money factor they used - waiting to hear back.

I guess what I’m trying to figure out is (and I’m probably thinking the wrong way) if the car is worth $39k when we turn it in then we’re paying for $25k if it less the $5k trade. If you just divide that by 36 payments (for a 36 month 12k mike lease) that’s $555 a month. So then add taxes and some interest to that. But enough to get to $817?  Is it really that much interest?  Or am I missing something else?
