Could I please have the Residual, MF and incentives for the following lease:
2020 Aviator Black Label, 48 months, 10.5K miles/year, ZIP: 34638.
MSRP is $81,790, dealer is offering $5,539 off incl. incentives for a vehicle on the lot. Of course, I would need to know the incentives in order to figure out if that's a fair price. On lincoln.com, it shows total incentives of $1,400 for my area and "Edmunds Suggested Price" is listed at $76,477 which is pretty close to the $76,251 offered by the dealer.
After taxes and fees, the dealer provided me with a Balance of $78,209.14. When I'm using the online calculator on lincoln.com and adjust the "downpayment" accordingly to a "Adjusted Capitalized Cost" of said $78,209, I'm getting a monthly payment of $1,008 plus tax (about $1,080 after tax) with the first monthly payment out of pocket.
The issue is that the numbers the dealer provided are higher:
With $0 down, the quote is between $1,159-$1,169
With $2,500 down, it's $1,098-$1,108
With $5,000 down, it's $1,040-1,050
Based on this, I'm "missing" about $3,500 in this deal to my disadvantage.
I'm having the suspicion that they are trying to make up the discount on the vehicle they are offering ($5,540-$1,400 incentives = $4,140) by drastically bumping up the MF.
If you guys would have the MF available, I'd know for sure. Also, feel free to comment on the discount itself - I would highly appreciate it!
Thanks in advance!

Are you accounting for the acquisition and dealer fees?
I agree with your math ($1008/mo before tax).
Either:
1. adjusted cap cost is higher than the $78,209 you're seeing; or
2. the APR is marked up
Good luck getting a straight answer from your Florida dealer. Ask them for a copy of the lease worksheet.

The lease worksheet says the following:
Market Value Selling Price: $81,790
- Total Savings: $5,539.00
+ Taxable Fees (Estimated): $653.50
+ Document Fee: $799.95
+ Tax: $269.74
+ Non Tax Fees: $234.95
Balance: $78,209.14
It also states that the monthly payments from the dealer don't include Tag but that should be a low amount (I will transfer my tag from another vehicle). I would assume that the dealer would have listed all other fees on the lease sheet and I can't think of any missing fee that would add up to more than $3,000.
Get a screenshot of the deal, and don't make any assumptions until you see it.

I figured I would provide these because others have, but I'm not so sure I understand how to read the answers. When we see the Residual percentage and APR, how does that get us to know what a good lease final price is? Plus, what is the cash figure we're seeing? (monthly payment? money down?)
Thanks.

Got some new numbers from my dealer and they looked better so we agreed on a deal.
Payment will be $1,100 incl. tax with $2,000 out of pocket.
Out of pocket includes the first monthly payment ($1,100) plus the wheel & tire care ($710). That leaves about $190 that are not accounted for but in return, I was able to get an additional $310 off of the quoted $1,500 down in order to arrive at the $1,100/month. All other taxes and fees (incl. tag) are included.
I believe this is a fair deal for both sides now. Punching in all the numbers on lincoln.com, I'm now looking at a MF mark-up resulting in a higher payment of about $20/month. Over 48 months, that's basically $960. Considering that the offered price was about $200 below of what Edmunds considered appropriate, I can live with that since we are no longer looking at a $3,000 gap.
Now, I have to speed up the buyback process on the Explorer ST which was approved on Friday. This usually takes a while but my dealer said he can only reserve the Aviator for the next two weeks. Let's see how that works out.
Thanks again for all the input!
Thanks for the report.

Yesterday, I signed the paperwork for the replacement vehicle. However, I picked a different vehicle from a different dealer. I discovered that the vehicle I initially focused on already had 500 miles on it and that it was built back in February. The dealer told me a strange story, stating it was driven to a guy back in south Florida and picked up again 'after his check bounced'. My gut, however, is telling me they used this vehicle for training. Otherwise, it would be sold by now (after 9 months). When I noticed they also had a Black Label Grand Touring (Plug-in Hybrid) in stock, I inquired about the price, pointing out that Edmunds showed an identical discount off MSRP as common. The dealer said 'Oh, that's the GT, they sell at full MSRP'. That was the point where they lost me as a customer.
I went to Autotrader and located a fully loaded 2020 Aviator Black Label Grand Touring with a built date of September(!!) 2020. Trailer tow package, rear entertainment system - you name it. The MSRP on that one, of course, was exactly $10,000 higher than the $81,000 Aviator my local dealer quoted me $1,100/month on with $2K out of pocket.
In regards to 'Oh, the GT sells at full MSRP"...what a joke! That dealer already had it advertised at $4K off before incentives, so I did not even have to negotiate. On top of that, although built less than 3 months ago, it is still a 2020 Grand Touring so I got AMAZING incentives - a total of $5,650(!!) on top of the discount!
All in all, my monthly payment on the identical lease (48 months/10.5K miles/year with $2K out of pocket incl. 1st payment and TireCare) is now going to be $1,070 instead of $1,100 - for a vehicle with a $10K higher MSRP.
I believe this deal is giving me a better bang for the buck, right?
