Thanks for you email/post and in order to help you better please let me know what work has been performed on your vehicle. I think you have set a record for visits to the dealer as far as I am concerned. I have been back now 6 times and just picked up our vehicle last week on Friday. Over the weekend I took a long drive and so far the light has not come back on but I am still not convinced that it will not stay this way. I am just as disgusted as you are about the problem. Whenever you have to spend more time at a car or truck dealer than you do at your doctors you know things are not well. I waited a whole year for the 6.7 liter diesel and I had plenty of people telling me not to buy 2007.
Lets face it that this truck does look great but the materials used like the front bumper, rims, paint, and a few other things are not top notch. As far as the ride is concerned I feel it is by far the best in in its class. But all that is worthless when you have this gut feeling that the new blutec technology is going to cause us unnecessary stress and money in the future. I myself refuse to live with with a lemon since this vehicle was far from cheap.
Please email us back what services have been performed on your vehicle so we can compare the services. I know that my turbocharger has been replaced at least once, my computer has been reprogrammed at least 7 times, and lets not even talk about sensor changing. All of there things seem to be common among all of us who have a 2007. As far as people with 2008 having the same problem I do not know anyone with a 2008 so I can't talk about this. I will look forward to hearing from you soon ASAP to help you as much as we can.

Sorry for taking a while to get back to you but I have had a very busy schedule lately. Regarding your question and oltech he has given me very important information on how to handle the procedure for lemon law process. As far as a form I never received the form you may need to initiate the lemon law process for your vehicle from oldtech. This form is in a booklet that is given to all new car buyers that deals with lemon law instructions. If you do not have this booklet you can acquire one from your dealer or from your states "State Attorneys Office". I Googled the office in my State and they have been very helpful so far. My engine light has been on as many times as yours but I only have a little over 15,800 miles on my vehicle and the last repair attempt was performed a few weeks ago. My engine light just came on again yesterday. Based on what the representative from Dodge told me when we spoke if it turned on one more time they were going to buy the vehicle back from me. If you need any other help feel free to email us back and oldtech thanks again for all your help.......

Our truck is sitting in the shop now..and they said it will be a month before they get the nationally back ordered part. And the Service manager told us this will continue to keep happening...and to fix the truck it costs $10,000 each time...What are we supposed to do when the warranty runs out and this part goes out at $10,000 a pop

Hope your pickups get better, I do love mine!

Does anyone have this issue or can help?

Many and I do agree don't realize that the new 6.7 cannot idle for long periods of time. Dodge is working to correct this problem to allow the regenning to work under a different procedure We have fixed 2 so far and so far we have been lucky to correct the problems
Horsepower @ rpm. 250 @ 2900 to the 305 @ 2900
Torque (lb-ft) @ rpm. 460 @ 1400 to the 555 @ 1400
Is there a way to tell by opening up the hood and looking?
If not can you find out from the VIN?
Thanks!
first half of model-year 2004 (trucks produced through November 2003)
- California output (CARB states) 235/460
- "High output" (non-CARB states) 305/555
With production beginning in December 2003, there was just one engine in all 50 states, rated at 325/600.
On the driver's side of the engine is a large sticker identifying the engine size and output. If it says "ISB 325" you have the "2004-1/2" truck; all others are the early 2004s (ISB 235 or ISB 305).
The 250/460 (non-CARB states) engine was only available in the 2003 model year. Once the automatic transmission became available with the 305 in midyear 2003, the 250 engine was dropped.

The MIL "on" I have had problems for 5 weeks now. Turbo boost low sensor, and then speed sensor. They replaced O2 sensor and reflashed. Installed a carbon clean out pipe. I have my "FILE" opened at Chryler and factory tech is at dealer now. Today they borrowed part from a NEW TRUCK to run a test!
Basically I would suggest you GET YOUR MONEY BACK ASAP! Check your NADAGUIDES for the CTD and non-CTD Truck TMV. You'll be shocked!
The 6.7L CTD was announced 24 Jan 2007 and shipped about Mid March, so you could have 2007 CTD with the 5.9L CTD. The 5.9L was fantastic!
TMV is indicating that the 6.7L CTD is worthless. If in doubt check it out, yourself!

I have been trying to do that, I thought all along since day 1. I haul a 11000 lbs. trailer for my business, I run the highway few times a week 90 miles each way.
I just don't understand why I have problems still. Not to mention that I go through hard starting quite often too, they have relplace the radio, and speakers in the truck.
Also tightened down the battery terminals and painted them too. I have also noticed a lost of power in the truck since all this has started to. I noticed this when I have my trailer hooked up, I used to beable to spin my tires, or at least get a chirp out of them. Not any more!
I not sure what to do with this truck yet, its been a great truck, the dealer I goto have been dealing with the issuse very well.
Thanks for listening, any advice? besides a stick of dynomite!
