Is it $3K, plus first payment and registration costs? Or, $3K total out of pocket?

You'll want to negotiate a discount from sticker, before applying the incentives.

And, you don't want to start any lease with $3000 out of pocket; just the first payment and registration costs should be paid when you sign the paperwork.

Purchase with standard rate financing, and the difference in incentive is only $800. Since you avoid the $595 lease acquisition fee, the true difference is only $205.

So, buy it with AFS financing, then you can pay it off, or re-finance it to a lower rate.

Hello, I got a lease (signed already) but hate to feel like I got ripped off. Can someone please help me understand that my payment calculations are not terrible? I feel like I am ripped off as there is a money factor of 0.0027 even though my credit score was 730!

I normally pay cash for vehicle purchases. But with $2500 Acura to dealer incentives for clients willing to finance, I'll finance. AFS (Acura Financial Services) requires customers to finance for at least 90 days before allowing payoffs. So I'll keep my cash for 90 days, then pay it off.

When you have the same incentive information as the dealer, and are willing to walk until you get the deal you want, negotiations become simple.
