The good is the MF, Tax, and rebate is pretty decent. Generally a payment at 1% of the MSRP is great. The bad is the Reg and Acq fees are pricey. $400 for registration seems a bit much.

My BIG question is - what happens when you're at 40k miles and something huge goes out? You'd be out of warranty. I'd want to see it in writing that everything is still covered. From my experience the lessee would be on the hook. But maybe someone else knows exactly what to look for.

(3 yr/36,000 mi basic, 5 yr/60,000 mi powertrain)

Correct.. you would be on the hook for any repairs out of warranty.

But, I've leased cars with 45K to 50K mileage allowances, multiple times, and never had an out of warranty repair.

Agree, aquisition fee seems missing. Sales tax and registration appears included above, but $747 is too low. 7.525% of 16k (depreciation + rent) is about $1200.

Do most dealers hesitate to provide accurate lease numbers? That's my experience with everyone. Do you recommend talking to the finance department directly?

I'd guess most dealers would rather not get involved with the details.

One other item.. If they are using a higher MSRP to calculate the residual (which is a good thing, and something we've heard about Ford), then what is that MSRP number.

You definitely want them to disclose the APR. That is where they can hide some profit (by marking it up)
