MSRP is $44,267 on their website for that car. I did not get the Sales price. For context, the dealer is managed by our friend's mom so I am pretty confident they're treating me well

What I know about the the 3k down is that it's first payment, DMV, Acquisition fee and dealer doc fee. Just for my education, what's the advantage of roll taxable fees in the lease price? In other info, I was also quoted the fully monthly price inclusive of Taxes and Fees and my final payment would be $519.37.

Whenever I hear the words "the dealer/salesman is a friend of mine...." I shudder. You let your guard down and that's when you stop checking the details and end up paying more than you should.

Any money up front beyond what I've mentioned will be lost if the car is stolen or totaled.

Get the selling price - better yet, get a copy of the entire lease worksheet that we can review.
